Macross Lawsuit
A recent Japanese ruling states that Tatsunoko, the Japanese company that originally sold the Macross license to Harmony Gold, did not own the Macross license in the first place and was never in any position to sell that license to Harmony Gold. According to the ruling Big West, the original creators of Macross, own the international rights. Based on this ruling Big West has obtained an injuction barring Harmony Gold from selling or licensing further Macross merchandise.

The Robotech "Macross Saga", which is based on Macross, is in no way affected by these ongoing legal matters.

What this will mean for Macross fans is that Harmony Gold will no longer be able to block the Yamato Valkyrie kits bringing the prices down for them considerably. Also it'll mean a lot more Macross products being able to reach US shores without Harmony Gold's interference.

I saw that post at robotech.com (I think, or at mektech) and they podered that it would NOT affect the appearance (rather lack therof) of the unseen 'mechs...

It's nice to see so many ppl likeing Robotech these days. I watched the Robotech Saga when it first came out and haven't meet many ppl who knew about it since. Then I came to Kali and meet other Mech Warriors who appreciated the same things I did , Like Robotech. >Some inside info here< A member of ELH has the complete version of Robotech on VHS ready to sell on E-Bay. Says ELH has first dibs on it if they are so interested. I think I could watch it again in another 5 years or so just to reminiscence.
