It seems that in the birth place of democracy things are not good for PC gamers. The Greek govt has banned PC games! The use of games carries a heavy fine and possible prison sentence! For those interested please have a look see here

It seems it was a major knee jerk response to online gambling

Holy Crap! And I thought lawmakers in the U.S. were bad/stupid/ignorant/morons....

Joe Leiberman's must "DIE"

Pres. Bush is a warmonger wuss, I hate wusses :x
Senator J. Leiberman thinks a miniscule amout of violence supposedly caused by violent PC games is a big problem. Well it is not. If som1 is an ass they should get whatever the person they pissed off thinks they should get.
Flesh heals, but emotional damage lasts FOREVER. I know that quite well.
I have been on both sides of the gun and have zero tolerance for cowards who just waste precious o2 with every breath.
Weaknesses are to be exploited not nurtured. A nutured weakness can spread corruption. EX: Spoiled Children.
People need to know the term "ACCEPTABLE LOSS"
Then; Cry themselves a river, build themselves a bridge, and then GET THE F*** over it.
If some thing helps the economy then keep it. :rockin: If it screws up the economy dispose of it.
Joe Leiberman is a little panzy and I would love to introduce his crotch to my Mad Cat's foot while its moving at flank speed. :D

Venom, your comment is very passinate and yes at times our lawmakers do seem to have other intrest other then the ones the people that voted them in have. As you will learn and experience what life gives you..tolerence can been your best weapon over stupidity.

I have seen and been involved in some pretty nasty stuff in the last 22 years and well it is very easy to let hatred and intolerence rule. At times I have struggle with this. I have been in many places on this planet were death and harted is the norm...and if you let it it will infect you also..

It is very easy to justify conflect...it is a much harder job to keep the peace. I wear to combat patches on my uniform...I have seen my share ..if you include peace keeping duty...I have had 4 delployments to hostile areas. If we deciede to fight we do so not lighty we think through it...but once the choice has been made then we prosecute to the max....

Venom ..stop and take notice bro...life can be very brutal...but also very breath takening and wonderus.

I kinda changed the subject a bit..I guess venom what I was trying to say is just take what life gives you. Banning pc games altogather is way overboard yes. Not to worry bro in the electronic gaming industry has a very powerful lobby...hehe..take bro

Venom, I hate to smack my own but......stand down troop. I have found over the course of many years trolling various forums that the minute you begin to bring politics into the discussion......things spiral out of control rapidly. Also I ask that you conduct your self in a mannor that befits a trooper in the ELH. Remember that many of us are in our late 20's and early 30's. If you want to express an opinion about censorship and over bearing government control in video games et all......thats fine.
I encourage you to do it in a thoughtful and congnative manor. "Smack-down" type rants only make people like me discount your point without even reading it.

No shit

Yes Slam I understand what you are saying and agree.
My father went to desert storm. He wasn't frontline nor were the people in his unit. Noone showered for OVER 6 MONTHS.
Lawmakers need to keep their heads cool.

All,
A couple of things to add... Feather is definitely right - sarcasm and irony will leave people wondering if you even insulted them! They may never realize it, or ponder it for months (depends upon the intelligence and wisdom of the target)! :D Although sometimes direct sarcasm is quite effective as well...

What Buff said about biting your tongue is also quite effective. Sometimes it helps to write it out...but keep it for the next day to see if you really want to say that - this especially applies to e-mails and other forms of written communication.

One other thing, remember outsiders can not see what we say in the Mess Hall...

Shucks, I just wanted to bring the boy over to the dark side :moon .

Redneck Darth Vader: Luke, I'm your father and your Uncle. C'mon over to the dark side, son. It'll be a hoot!

Hmmm
The Farce is strong with this one, I can sense it.
Here, pull my finger.
Release the irony.

Fun playin with you the other night, Venom.
Sorry if I spooked ya.

Well,
I appreciate the support that you guys offer, but truth be told my child hood was not an enjoyable one. I was not abused or raped, but I stood up for someone one day and well... It took me a long ass time to put the black dragon of destruction back in its cage... I shall not say more.
I am now under control, I meditate daily to keep my emotions in check.

Be my guest mate, im always happy to sing the praises of my beautiful country. Only thing is, got to watch for that mob over the border....which reminds me of a wee funny i heard once.

God and St Peter are talking about making the earth. God maps out Scotland and tells St Peter 'This land, this land will be a special place. Glorious glens, mountain ranges streaking through the clouds, magnificent eagles soaring, fresh water streams, and the most beautiful amber nectar that man will ever have the pleasure of divulging in.'

Perplexed, St Peter turns to God and says 'but Sir, why do these ppl deserve so much, arent you being over generous?'

God replies 'not really Pete, wait til you see the damn neighbours im giving them!!!' :worship :rockin:
