Need help with a small problem

Ok, here's the problem. I installed some newer nvidia drivers for my graphics card. However, when i restarted my computer, an error msg was brought up. Small grey box. In the blue title bar it says 'RUNDLL', and in the main box it says 'Error in NvQTwk
Missing entry NvCpDaemon'

The thing is, although it's obviously an error, it doesn't seem to have affected my PC. I can still get on the web, play my games etc. But i'm concerned that if i just leave it cos it's not causing a problem, it'll come back and bite me in the arse big style. Any help would be appreciated...

256meg Ram
GeForce 3 32 bit Gfx card

Truth be told, Moose, I'm not sure if that WILL come back to bite you in the ass or not.

If you go Start, run, and then type in msconfig (at least for Win 98 -), it'll bring you up a box that shows the stuff that gets loaded by windows at startup.

There'll be a box on the startup tab called 'NvCpDaemon', and you can try unchecking it to see if that helps. *shrugs*

i have to agree, when my system boots up, i get 3 seperate errors, mainly missing DLLs and some other such weirdo message. i forget what is what. but its been that way for around 5-6 months now with no ill effects at all. it is also possible that the new drivers didnt deposit a DLL file that is in the list for the computer to look for from the older verion of the drivers. when it looks for it from the list and dosnt find it, it reports the error, even if the driver no longer needs the DLL or ever did. this is all guessing though. my experiances go on a keep going till it crashes rampage. however this is part of what i enjoy about my computing experiances. even though it gets extremly frustrating, there is nothing like a major computer problem to get the mind working on how to fix it hehe. ( yea i know im very weird, just accept it, i did long time ago lol )

cheers for input guys....i reckon i'll try to reinstall the drivers first, and if that doesn't work i'll follow O'shay's advice. In the long run tho, if it really gets me down, i could just format the whole thing
