It works!
One thing though - I would like to see maybe just us and perhaps some folks we invite? I have heard of cheats, blind shots amd grenade shots and grenade tosses because so many folks know the maps so well... Kinda ruins the fun... Thoughts?

I got the Update today and i know Kodiak was getting it today. We talked about a cdr, but he was going to try to get it on his own. I'm looking forward to getting together with this again. I had a terrible time with it the other night and am trying to track down my trouble ...

I am currently d/ling the Part 1 from NVidia mirror site (13% complete), so tonight and tomorrow should see me up to speed with Part 2&3 and also the v1.5 upgrade. It's free to be online so I might as well be online as much as poss overnight, heh?!
I would still be happy to see someone post me a copy of the v1.5 complete - I DO need a back-up incase it all goes ratshit on me!

Hey all!
Got my AA/RW trouble ironed out. In case anyone else runs into difficulty, my case turned out to be a problem with EAX support. With EAX activated, I get a 3-5 second freez/lag when i hit my RW talk key. This occurs only when playing an online game. If I turn off EAX in the AA settings section, the problem is resolved.
Therefor, I am good-to-go whenever with America's Army 1.5 hoo-ah.

ummmm...Google???
http://www.americasarmy.com
I would personally NOT download from gigex - that is where my corrupted, non-working versions came from. I would not download from nvidia casue the add stuff to it, and their inital version was hosed - not sure if it is fixed now or not... mine came from aafiles...
yes i can dl the full 1.50 and burn it.

The problem with FilePlanet is unless you subscribe you will find your self on the end of a long waiting queue - which is fine if you have hi-speed cause itakes no more than an hourt or so to d/l, whereas if on 56K you wait that long to start d/l and then you wait another 24 hours to get it d/l'd - LOL

Cheers mate, that's a nice one! I probably won't be able to pick it up until we return to work, but at least it will be there.
Don't go spending hordes of dish getting it here - just put it inside a card or something - I'll see you right somehow, so if there is anything I could do for you don't hesitate to ask.
Regards, Don

www.aafiles.com has it, and has great connection speeds using the p2p service they use from filefront.com. I just got AA, and it looks awesome. Having some troubles finding online games, when do you guys usually play?
By the way, with the recent releases of AA and VC, I'm really considering getting GR. At school I'm running a P2 400MhZ system, with 256MB RAM and a 128MB DDR nVidia GeForce3 Ti200. How do you guys think it will run there?

Oh...my...god....WHY didn't I get AA earlier???? This game is amazing, I've been playing all night getting 50-70 pings. AWESOME action, great teamwork, and stunning graphics! Count me in on ALL of our AA action here in WOF!!!

I'm almost done now with my mammoth d/l of AA, just the upgrade 1.4 to 1.5 left to do - and if you are that impressed by it well maybe i'll like it too!

Part 1 of my d/l was hosed from NVidia site - so it's back to the drawing board I guess! Jeez this is a painful process

Well I just completed my d/l of AA @ 56K and I gotta tell ya I am surely the most frustrated puppy on the planet - it extracts about 45% of the d/l zip (self-extract) and then tells me there is a problem and the most likely cause is that my C/:Temp folder is full, tried to ensure that it is empty before I start unzipping but the message is the same everytime.
HELP!

just work on the VC download for now...
make sure your hard drive is not full, or close to it...not just the temp folder (it is really hard drive space that matters, not the contents of your temp folder).
as stated, i can burn this for you...

hey, no probs guys, I reallyappreciate the gestures of help. As always, there is someone there to help out. Viper, please DO still get that copy away in the post - I don't think I really want to go through that again!
I finally managed to get the d/l to work after I bumped into Gator, he made the same suggestion as Steel and once I had shifted all my files around it installed a treat. The only problem I am experiencing now is after twice qualifying on the range (once as sharpshooter - LOL) I was unable to Login and save that progress.
I have to say I am very impressed by I have seen so far, and am glad I let you guys talk me into trying it - it's just the whole experience which impresses me - I will be recommending this to all my colleagues for sure.
I ended up blowing my install of G-R to get the space (it was on C drive), so now I have an excuse to do a fresh install and get rid of all the unnecessary crap I had on my G-R (2.9GB for G-R folder alone - LOL!)
Anyway, I must get on with qualifying in Boot Camp! Later peeps.....

Finally got this thing off the ground - and passed basic trg. But the assault cse was a bitch - I beat the timer at least 4 times and it still reckoned I failed, I dont mean by a sec or two - I mean by a good 7 - 10 secs and I think the trick is NOT to stand up at the end!! Honestly!
So after I got that installed - the problem with my G-R install! Anyway - thanx to all for the encouragement and advice, there was a moment or two where the computer nearly became expensive wallpaper!
And now I'm back to normal - well about as normal as a guy like me can get I suppose.
