::: nods head :::
man when did THAT rattle start? hmmm...
yea im around still. just been busy with christmas shopping and trying to get things done at work. i may be tearing down my PC for a few days becuse i want to work on BlackHawk's Freak, mutant case part 2, but ive been waiting to see if i can keep my cable going or not. i got all that plexi glass and mirrored stainless steel.... i GOT to do something with it lol.
been playing Halo full version latly, its a fun game, kinda like tribes in some ways... except its more of a frag fest. the online adventures are a bit strange since you realy cant pick which team you want or anything... so that kinda sucks for any serious game play. but it does work well for stress relief... but i still suck lol. well at least im in the middle with kills and stuff and managed to capture a few flags.
Buff, im trying to get MSCFS 3... will let you know if i get it hooked up... i will probably play it single or practice or something first. becuse flying planes is the exact oposite of my mechwarrior skills
in other words, i dont have any plane skills! ( in other words i measure my success by getting the engine started, getting off the ground and seeing how long i can sustain the controled crash in operation before i finaly do crash. )
i hope in Jan, i will try to refocus on mercs and see how it goes... im getting to the point i miss the game some. to be honest i like the changes that mektek did in the mech pack. things seemed a bit more balanced the last time played the game. ( a little more then a week ago ) The simple fact is, after all these years i just cant see me NOT playing mechwarrior. no matter how much microsoft screwed things up hehe.

Yeah, I'm here too. Not as often as I used to but I am around. I will always like to play Mechy, too. I almost volunteered to develop a short campaign game for folks here to play against each other, but if there's not enough attendance for league play, I doubt it would fly.
I have IL-2 but don't have MS CFS3. I heard poor reviews of it in the game mags so I never picked it up. I also figured my Mech driving skills always needed work so I decided not to divide up my online time. But who knows, maybe another game interest might be good.

Shall we play a game …..
I think I might have the full version of Halo in a matter of weeks from a secret source of mine. I don’t think there’s much graphics evolved with it that would need a major computer upgrade. I’m still running my old T-Bird 800 here with Sdram ( not the new and improved DDR ) , but with some help from the new G-Force 5200 I slapped in , I can still keep stride along side them smug people and their lean machines. Well .., for now anyways. : )
Somebody say Freelancer ?........ :play

Falker,
What kind of video card did you use before the 5200? I have a similar machine- a TBird 950 with SDRAM and a GF3. I'd like to upgrade sometime though I doubt it would help my Mechy performance. I have thought about a new video card, but I didn't think it would scale my performance up that much if it was saddled with an "old" CPU like mine. I asssumed that my performance wouldn't go up much unless I went with a new mobo, Athlon XP and DDR. Or just waited for 64 bit AMD.

I was using an ATI Rage Fury Pro. 32mb sdram on board memory. It was a good card for awhile but couldn’t keep up with some of today’s games. I had to upgrade to the G-Force 5200 with 128 DDR ram on board memory to play the Homeworld 2 game I bought. And yep , not only does the games I play look more crisp and detailed with the 5200, but they actually run faster with no hang ups. The 5200 is just a mediocre card compared to the latest ones they have out today. . But it’s okay with me. Last I looked the price has came down to $75 for the 5200 at most computer stores.

Floyd was the barber, Otis was the town drunk, and Ernest, well, he was kinda like the Id monster from Forbidden Planet, 'cept different.
