New voice comms server!!!

Post by Hammer »

The new server is up at the data center... I have updated the Voice Communications thread in the Servers forum with the new i.p. The old one will go away tonight!

This server is now hosted on multiple OC3's at a high end data center. The server should try and offload a LOT of the processing for Roger Wilco, hopefully helping those on dial-up.

I have not yet gotten the Teamspeak server running, that will be later this afternoon.

No, we have not tried it anymore since Kodiak has issues with it. He kept getting dropped. We will probably try it again since the server is at a LARGE bandwidth facility now....

Several of us like it a lot, but Grifter gets grumpy around it!!! :D

Hey, Steel - this is great news - am heading over there now to get myself dialed-in for later. Thanx for getting this sorted, am very interested in finding out how well we get on with TS now.
Anyway, you guys shoulda said that was the reason we dropped TS, I would have been quite happy playing and typing - keeps ya busy when there's nothing to do, LOL!

are we on TS now? I want to make sure I'm all set up for the next time I get in on a game of GR.
... and just for the record, I think we had more problems than that. Grifter and I both heard at least one persons voice turn into the emergency broadcast system. Perhaps that problem went away.

Actually Steel, I think you'll find that it was my fault - cos I shot him in the back of the head, whilst giving SB the good news! LOL
