Now that I think of it, I think someone else here posted the one about French Military defeats, but type in Failure anyway, you'll get a laugh out of it. Anyhow...I think the people in charge of "I'm feeling Lucky" over at google have a sense of humor and have been given free reign to do what they like. lol

I was raised to be a conservative and today I can make up my own mind when it comes to choosing from left to right. I’ve always chosen right mostly because I have high hopes that a conservative will be reasonably fare when it comes to dealing with society.

Someone who doesn’t have a dream of what America should be like in their eyes
but rather someone who listens to the public and treats everyone fairly.

Being President Of The United States is a BIG Job. It’s not just about taking care of our own inside these borders. If that were the case most of us here would be well to do. The President Of The United States has to think about changing the world and giving every country a fare shake. In most cases the more wealth other countries have the better off they will be. ( Happy People ) They might even consider changing their ways and becoming a peaceful nation. It’s up to the President Of The United States and he's allied friends in the east to try to make that happen.

Imagine if we ever did have peace on earth. There would be no need to spend Billions and Billions on Military Defense. That goes for everybody. That International Space Station would have been completed long ago. We would have a small lunar base going. Terri forming mars would be in the making.

With that being said , I’m not proud of some of the bad decision making Bush has made. I also know he’s not the best President we’ve ever had. But he’s trying to think about the future instead of the here and now. I’ll give him credit for that. And it was a hard ( but a right ) thing for him to do to let the public know about Social Security. Imagine how many people were pissed off about that. Yeah he looks bad sometimes. I think that’s only because he’s just being a little more honest then his predecessor in reveling what’s really going on.

If there’s one Big disagreement I have with him , it would be his blindness to how much the oil companies are making. Exon Mobil profits about $140,000,000 A Day ! That’s after expenses. 140 Mil each day. It took about twenty years for the price of Gas to go from $1 to $2 dollars . Then all of a sudden it went from $2 to $3 dollars in just one year. That’s Fu#king Price Gouging. That’s like Enron price gouging a few years ago. See , that’s just not fare. I think the government should step in and put a stop to it.

I think the Media had allot to do with it too. They’ve been talking about how gas was going to go up to $3 dollars about a year before it actually did. It’s like they were prepping the public to be prepared to spend $3 dollars at the pump. And then we finally did.

On Fox News a few month ago they had a program about it. Then they started talking about $5 bucks a gallon within a few years. I was like O_o ... This planets going to run out of the black gold sometime. I’d like to think they already had an alternative fuel that we could all use. One of those conspiracy things you know , where they turn water into a combustion liquid. But if that were the case , I suppose the Space Shuttle wouldn’t need those three large gas tanks to lift it into orbit.

For the future my bets on Magnetism. You know how you put two magnets together , then you turn one magnet around and they separate and push away from each other... If we built a large electronically controlled magnet the size of the Empire State Building on the ground with a large flat surface which would gradually push away a small shuttle , then built another one in space that would draw it in as it came within range …..

Then we could have space flight Without The Gas !

Strangely enough there has been much talk and theorising over this topic in recent years gone by.

Well that said, it was intended as a gag. If I see any new Kerry jokes, I'll post them here in good fun as well.

My student gave me one of Kerry the other day...great "waffler" joke where Kerry plays the role of Hamlet..."To flee or not to flee" Even The Globe, a democratic party-line paper, pokes fun at his inability to say what he really thinks. Which is not suprising. In recent years, the democratic party can't find its own behind with both hands if you ask me.

Lol , I don want to get anything started as well. I was just speaking my mind. Something I have a habit of doing every now and then. I’m a little off and can come up with some strange posts sometimes. I just want what’s best for the entire planet and not what’s good for the here and now. When I herd about the man in charge , well , I just wanted to get my two cents in.

I Have A Dream !

I want the colonist of this planet to progress and step forth into outer space. I want to see the human race inhabit our own solar system and go beyond into the unknown to meet other cultures .

It’s like traveling. Why Do we travel ? Because we like a change of environment and a chance to meet other people who might be different then the ones in your own home town. .

Well I guess I made my point. I feel like I’m still stuck in the past and am waiting for something new to happen. Maybe my next life :P That would be sad tho because I cant remember my previous one.

P.S.

Hey good to know Kodi. I’ve only heard about it in Train transit. I’ve always wondered about just how those UFO’s travel around. I think Magnetisim might have something to do with it. Every planet has a core that’s magnetized including our own Sun. If we could figure out a way to put that to our advantage ,.. we could come up with new types of transportation. I wonder if that’s how light speed could be achieved as well. Drawing from one Star to the other with some alien techno.

I want my flying car...where is my flying car.. Falkerrr I couldnt' agree with you more, and for that matter, the folks of NASA agree as well. The future of the human race, culturally as well as economically, exists beyond this planet. :-)

The Future of the human race will be in Space that's no doubt cause we ain't gonna have anything left off this planet in a couple of hundred years or less if the population keeps growing and resources keep dwindling. I mean do you really think that the forests and remaining natural wild life are going to survive?

Not a chance if you ask me. We will keep on using whats easily available before looking for something new that does the job with out the damage. Forests will keep getting cut down, wildlife will have nowhere to be wild and all because when it really comes down to it humans/governments will do whatever it takes to get what they want, and if we need that forest for wood, paper or that crappy supermarket leaflet that pops through your door every week or we need that wild savana for mining minerals or for building new houses then it will eventually be used for just that, no matter what protests or complaints are put in or what nearly extinct species happens to live there.

Goverments/Humans will do whats easiest to get what they want, if its right in front of then they will grab it, even if doing so ruins something special, after all it's easier to do that than look for an alternative isn't it.

Here is a fact for you, The entire world poulation of wildlife is currently dying out faster than the Dinosaurs did 65 million years ago, it took approximately 500 years for the entire dinosaur species and habitat to die off. We are killing our wildlife and habitat off quicker than that and we have been at it for over 100 years already!

So if we don't leave here and expand into space we will probably die off our selves or live in a world seriously overpopulated with no space or time for ourselves and with nothing but ourselves . Anyone remember the Film with Charlton Heston called Soylent Green???

There will soon be a new disease, be it bird flu or something else, to wipe out a large portion of the human race. Too many people for the planet's current level of healthcare to sustain. If healthcare planetwide were comparable to the West's, then I think we could get up to 10 billion without too much difficulty. As is, though, I don't know if we'll hit 7 without a major die-off, as they say in paleontological terminology. ;)

Paleontology is the study of earth-bound remains as a means of explaining and exploring the history of man and nature. It is the study of time's biological footprints.

Paleontology is the scientific study of life-forms existing in former geological time periods. Fossils, the remains or imprint of a plant or animal preserved from prehistoric times by natural methods and found mainly in sedimentary rock, asphalt, coal, and amber, are the chief data upon which paleontological study is based.

If we had a lunar base or occupied a Terri-formed Mars which included a small city inhabited by our own human race , such a catastrophe occurring here on Earth would enable another Adam & Eve ( so to speak ) to live and populate once again. Then the human race would still be here to see another day. Well that’s if worst came to worst.

I remember Soylent Green. ( with Charlton Heston ) It was one of my old time favorites because it looked so true if things keep going the way they are. Like you said , .. maybe in a few hundred years from now… As for now we still have plenty of land left. On my drive up to Washington State I saw lots of unpopulated land just waiting to be occupied. But yeah , if we keep going in this direction lots of earth grown plants , trees , animals and insects could get polished off . We might even wipe out a cure for cancer without even knowing it.

Ever see Star Wars III ? Nothing but cities covering the planet. They must get there resources imported from other planets.

I’ll be on the other side when that ever happens but I’d like to think that I could still see it and be proud of what the Human Race has accomplished. According to the Star Gate program ( SG1 ) on TV , we’ve already went through an 800 year dark age. That’s 800 years down the tube. We need to put a stop to the violence on the planet now. I get the feeling that we will meet other species in our own Galaxy some day. Not all of them may be friendly. We could be wiped out a matter of days if we don’t get our act together . Then Poof .... All your an sisters hard work with all that might have been with your grandchildren and your grandchildren’s children is gone.

That’s why I would like noting more than world peace so we could put our resources to a better effort in getting off this planet and get it’s population moving in the right direction instead of wasting it on shoring up our boarders and stock piling our military equipment. The human race needs to quit fighting itself and get ready for other possible threats.

Or Allied friends. If there really are Aliens visiting this planet they must be watching us , .. waiting for the right moment to plant their space ship down on the White House Lawn.

I’d also like to think that their screening our communications network. Watching Cable TV via satellite as we do. I wonder what they would think about our Star Wars movies. Or if they understand it . If so , I’ll bet they'd get a kick out of it and will be waiting for the next one ,…. just like we are.

Actually...

It wasn't google cracking the joke. I did a read up on this, and it seems that there was a bit of a conspiracy with people linking to the Bush biography website with the word 'failure.' So even though the word failure does not appear once on the website, it is now firmly associated with it.

After some time it made it to the number two spot. It has apparently made it to first place since then.

And you'll notice that the French Defeats page is a mock google website. Look in the URL, it is a completely different website just made up to look like google. The creator of the page claimed that all the had to do was put links to his site in a few 'strategic' locations on the web, and it rose to the top ranking website.

I found both to be extremely amusing, but being a computer nerd and all that, I was equally interested in how people managed to pull it off.
