Favorite B Movies?

You guys know what I'm talking about! Movies which most people would make fun of you for enjoying but nevertheless there is just "something" special about that low budget cheesy film that is endearing to you. So what are some of your favorite cheesy B movies?

Here are my top 3:

1. FLASH-- Yes, the 1980 film with the awesome soundtrack by Queen and Max von Sydow as Ming

2. BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS -- Blatant rip-off of Kurosawas "Seven Samurai" by Roger Corman. You may remember this sci-fi flick which starred George Peppard, Robert Vaughn and Richard Thomas.

3. FRIGHT NIGHT -- Pretty cool vampire movie with Roddy McDowell as the famous "vampire killer". This also starred the lesbian chick who was in the long-lived Fox show "Married With Children".

Dead Alive

The Story of Ricky

I don't know, I usually don't like them if they're really "B" films. Some films, like Pitch Black, are considered "B" by some people, but not me.

Um, I thought you liked Battlefield Earth? It's not a B movie by budget but its definitely a B movie measured by its "cheese" factor. LOL

Aw MAAAAAAAAN!! Are we on this again?! Okay, how about SPACED INVADERS? Yes, it's pretty much a kiddies film, but for sheer giggle factor, those martians are real characters (am certain they're designed around real life actors from other films too!!) - there's a bit of the usual adult humour thrown in here and there too. get it and watch it!!

As I said, I don't think of that as a "B" movie, just a movie that failed. In fact, I'd say a good 50% of the movies MST did I don't consider "B", just bad.

Howard The Duck - At the time, I thought it was hilarious, however, I haven't seen it in nearly 2 decades, so I can't say anymore. I hear it was terrible. Actually, considering it's never on TV, it must have been horriffic.

Well for one, the whole duck fetish thing kinda destroyed any redeemable quality it may have had.

Tremors - not the sequels or the TV series, just that first movie - it was everything a classic B movie should be.

Roddy Piper . . . .LOL! Don't you think these "wrestlers" are bad enough actors in the ring, nevermind on the 'big' screen??

He's not even Scottish! He was born in Canada. LOL

Yeah, I know!! LOL  But we spent some time there ourselves, and it is VERY surprising how much "Scottish" you find in any Canadian's blood. They are very proud of that heritage, as was very evident to us when we visited the Highland Games in Canmore, up past Calgary, AB. And when people actually find out you are Scottish, they can't let you walk by without telling your their whole family's history.

What movie:

Doesn't it make you proud to be Scottish?

It's SHITE being Scottish! We're the lowest of the low. The scum of the fucking Earth! The most wretched miserable servile pathetic trash that was ever shat on civilization. Some people hate the English. I don't. They're just wankers. We, on the other hand, are colonized by wankers. Can't even find a decent culture to get colonized by. We're ruled by effete assholes. It's a shite state of affairs to be in, Tommy, and all the fresh air in the world won't make any fucking difference!
