The best part is, I am now (or at least in a few days will be) authorized to carry an NCO sword, also known as a Wand of Poking which I will gleefully use on dumbasses.

One should remember that one was once one of those "dumbasses" who was being poked, and who cursed under one's breathe at the asshole with the sword, who you swore was gonna have it shoved where the sun don't shine . . . . .remember those blissful days? Now just consider giving that dumbass a second chance before you decide to poke him with that wand!!

Congrats Hudson on your promotion! Wait until you make SGT, then you will really be over your ears with responsibility.

I remember when I made Corporal, I was promoted Meritoriously. Come to think of it, I was promoted to SGT Meritoriously too.

Too bad my CO was a jerkoff and passed me up for promotion to SSGT, so I didn't stay in the service. (My contract was up in 1996)
