thx Starlight. for those that do not know, his offer is that he will purchase the package you want and then gift it to you - since he is a veteran backer, he gets lifetime insurance on the ships he purchases - and that carries through when gifting it to you. of course you have to reimburse him for the purchase - I imagine even pay him ahead of time. he can do this until Nov 26th.

Starlight,
can you buy veteran packages and gift them?

What I'll end up doing for you guys in using teamveiwer; logging in to my account on your computer and let you buy your ship and stuff from there with your own card.

Lot safer for info and stuff as all i get to see is a screen shot of your computer not the card info or have to transfer stuff though paypal and get extra charges and stuff.

thx Starlight! now to brass tacks - what do you get out of it other than ensuring more people will play the game with you?

what do we miss out on by getting this through you? I know one this is no tag in forums, etc. as a game backer since you are the one to actually buy with your account.

do we get anything for referring others as well? I.e. during sign up can/do/should people put on a referring person? what does that get someone?

can you show us where it is officially stated that we, by purchasing through you, are really guaranteed lifetime ship insurance?

Okay first answer. I get nothing out of it. Just some people to play with.

If you can see this link it what i get to view that lets me get the Lifetime Insurance on your ships.
https://robertsspaceindustries.com/stor ... ranbackers

And here is the official faqs on it.
https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm ... rification

If you don't go though me and just buy you just receive the 6 months and then after that in game money is used to pay for insurance and hanger fees. "think the Mechwarroir beta and how it was a grind fest at first to get any money when you died, got shot...." It sucked you made about 10k a match at most.

As far as I know there is no referring. Just a warm fuzzie feeling when you get to play with some people you like.
PDT_Armataz_01_36

So to sum it up. Just going though me saves you time in game getting money for insurance. This lets you get out there to fly/explore/hunt/kill/trade more.

thx Starlight. first link access denied as it is for Veteran backers only.

I think the second explains it well enough, as well as this link (Q&A at the bottom):

Here's the ship stats you were asking for.
https://robertsspaceindustries.com/ship-specs

They don't have weapon damage and shield strength and all that good stuff out yet.

But this will give you a good view of the ships.

thx! are you able, as a veteran backer, to purchase the 350R or an upgrade to the 350R? and it should have LTI and you are able to gift it?

what i am thinking is I will buy (myself so i get a backer status) the Aurora package and then might ask you to buy the 350R for me. i gotta see if it is possible and then total outlay.

The 350r was a limited time offer sadly. They are ways changing the deals so it may come back.

This looks BAD ASS and a lot like a Kickstarter Project. I am most definitely interested. I think I'm gonna go with the 300i BH package and add the Avenger Ship through Starlightguy. I'll let you know when I'm available to complete the transaction. Probably next week after payday.

So apparently this WAS a Kickstarter Project and they surpassed their goal by quite a bit. They are up to 25 million and rising. WOW...

How about next week? I get paid next Thursday, so any time after then. For now, I'll just sit here and continue to be amazed at the potential this game has. :D

Cool there's a ton of potential.
I upgrade my hornet to the Super Hornet so I could get a jump engine and a second seat.
I can't wait to have a extra person in a dog fight to help shooting people and what not.

starlight,
it seems implied in the SC forums that there will be a final sale of even limited ships on Nov 26th? is that your understanding?

Re: Star Citizen

Hey sorry for the long delay in post work and all.
So i looked around the forums but i didn't see anything hinting at a sale from the admins/designers.
It seems to be pure hearsay.
But that being said most place do have a sale the last week of things, so we may be looking at one coming up.
I doubt it that there will be all the limited ships in it if there is.

So if you just save the money and wait may be your best bet but if there is nothing anything by the 22nd, I don't think anything will happen.
