joystick in SC

i got my MS precision pro 2 working in SC.
i didnt really play with it long but this is what i found.
the throttle is still a bit flaky. full is of course full, but all the way back seems to go like 50%. i guess i could assign a key for space break but so far i havnt found a need for it yet.
i dont seem to have any problems binding keys so far.
the down side of joystick for me is that i really dont have any thruster controls. ( up, down, right, left.) i guess i could assign the top hat for that? also i cant seem to control the pivoted or rotating turrets.
the upside is the ship is very responsive to the joystick. i seem to get better relationship between how much i move the joy vs how much the ship moves then i do with the mouse. ( maybe because the mouse is controlling turrets as well?) i can do some really good maneuvers while using decouple and afterburners.
if anyone finds any other cool tips or tricks let me know.
