Kola Intercept Missions - Missiles Are Horrible

I flew my first mission over the Kola Peninsula with the latest DCS update and the missiles suck so much. I don't see how there is any reason why almost all the missiles fired from the 6:00 position at such close (but not too close) range miss their BOMBER targets to the point that I have to use the gun to shoot them down. Horrible.
