Airfield strike Bandar Abbas and Havadarya
Phase 1 will consist of Air Superiority, DEAD
Phase 2 will consist of Air Superiority, Recon
Phase 3 will consist of Air Superiority, Strike
Commanders' intent is to reduce SAM/AAA to allow for detailed reconnaissance of Bandar Abbas (primary) and Havadarya (secondary) from the air to allow follow on strikes at these airfields. Reducing the operational capability of these airfields will cripple the enemy's air capability, dividing their airborne defenses into two areas leaving the center open.
Significant progress was made in the last few hours, severely crippling or removing the long and medium SAM capability in the area of operations; however we are still in phase 1. Note that the SA-11 and SA-2 batteries can still track and guide at short range, and reinforcements and repairs could being them back to full capability at any time. As a new note, it was discovered that a Rapier battery is also operating in the area.
DEAD: Voodoo will draw out and engage enemy SAM installations in the Bandar Abbas and Havadarya area. Anti-radiation missiles and laser designated munitions are to be used. Close in self protect A2A armament. Escort to be provided by Ares. Primary targets are any remaining SA-11 and SA-2 units including C2, launchers and radars. Note a Rapier battery is also operating in the area and is included in the primary target list along with EWR radars. Secondary targets are AAA and short range SAMs (expect SA-15 and the like) at the airfields proper.
ESCORT/CAP: Ares primary mission to escort and protect Voodoo and follow on Blackbird. Maximal A2A loadout. Engage and destroy all enemy aircraft within 40 miles of Bandar Abbas and Havadarya. Minimal 4 airframes, 2 flights.
RECON: Blackbird: once DEAD mission has reduced the SA-15, SA-11, and Rapier sites to non-operational status, Blackbird is to begin recon of Bandar Abbas and Havadarya airfields proper. Primary targets of concern are ammo and fuel facilities, along with remaining AAA and SAM emplacements. Use targeting pod to record snapshots of targets.
