Hehe nice screenies. You need to use Photobucket though and link these. Would make the posts a little cleaner. It's free and it works really well.

Uh..huge? Each pic is less than 100k in size. I even compressed the JPEG files to make sure they would be small.

What do you mean by "cleaner"? I just use my online storage with Comcast and I upload the files there and then post the links here which open the image. How would Photobucket be better than that?

you are posting with the img tag, right?
it is better if you just post it as an http link rather tahn use the img tag. the img tag puts it within the forum window, an http tag opens it into a new window. or SB and others can help...
i know i would appreciate more of a link to an album that gave thumbs to the screenies...perhaps with a new album for each session/subjects screenshots.

ok, no big deal really! I'll just post the links instead of the direct images.

Exaclty Panz, that's all I was suggesting. It's hard to see the whole picture well when you have to scroll up and down, left to right because it doesn't really fit the forum window. Don't get me wrong bro, I really appreciate you taking the time to take the pics and put them up. I'm glad someone is doing it. I just know I would get more out of it if I could click on a link and then just look at the pics in a seperate window.

Well, that might be an idea though. Having an album for our exploits to show online, use as backdrops for whatever, etc., Like this - we should nominate someone to take pics on each mission once they are shot down or have done their bit and are flying home etc. They should look around for the best photo opportunities and snap a few off, maybe even using different angles for one incident. Put them up for browsing on a link like we have here, then let everyone decide which ones are the best for keeping in the forum/team album. What do you guys think?

Ok, cool. I'll do the links from now on then. These screenshots are all at 1280x960 so that could be why most people have to scroll a lot to view them.

Did you resize them? Because when I open them in a new window from the link it works great. I get the whole picture in one shot.

I.E. will automatically downsize them. if you want to see them full size again, put your cursor over the pic in I.E. then click on the box that comes up...

I think I may have a pile of screenshots in my folder, should I select the best ones I can find and send them anywhere particular. I dunno . . .maybe to you Steel? Then I suppose you could upload them in a folder to the ftp for browsing and selection? Just my thoughts . . . .

you could, but as busy as i am they are not likely to get much attention. you would probably do better to use photobucket or some such and post the links like Panzer did.

Okay mate, understand. Just went looking for them (screenshots), and can't find one single pic. I'm totally confused now because am absolutely positive I had dozens.
Anyone give me a pointer or two as to where they should be, I thought they were supposed to be in a folder in the iL-2 root.??

DA, unless you register at that website, I suspect that you can't view those pix automatically by clicking on the link.

Was that one of the Yak's from the first mission where I destroyed three, or was that from one of the later missions where I was trounced by everything in the sky?
