Just ordered the next plastic kit to start on. Should come Monday. I can pre-purchase the paints this weekend.
Hasegawa makes very detailed kits so should be fun.

Looking forward to this one. Will the wings be able to move or do they get clued into one or the other position?

Every F-14 scale model I've ever built always had movable wings, so i bet this one will too, especially since it's Hasegawa

Those Hasegawa kits were pretty good.

This one looks impressive for such a small scale. Looks like the wings will sweep back and forth. Going to VF84 paint scheme.

I wonder if Hasegawa has a B-29 kit? Sorry, I couldn't resist an opportunity for sarcasm.

I would ask if you get tired of the same aircraft but I already know the answer to that haha.
Progress thusfar. Decal for the instrument clusters make it look pretty good. i couldn't fit the pilot/rio in the cockpit without breaking their knees so i left them out.
You can see I already have the black tail painted for VF-84

That's putty. I have to let it dry. fills in the gaps between the two halves.

I also was converting it to an F-14B. Note the gun gas purge vents (as opposed to the grill in the F-14A) that i carved in, and the AXX-1 TCS camera chin pod I added with scrap plastic and clear tree plastic for the lens

One of the best models I ever did was an SR-71. Wish I still had it. I also have a SnapTite B-2.
I also did a Vietnam era F-4. It was one of my first and isn't pretty. Still have it though.

Finally finished! S-3 will be my next one. Zoomed in the lines sure don't look at clean as with my eyes but oh well. It was fun and the wings sweep.

Thanks! I guess about 3-4 weeks off and on. Some nights I'd work on it but mostly it was during weekends. Really enjoyed this one. Hasegawa makes very detailed models. I'm leaving the missiles off because I think it looks cleaner. I also really learned a lot about the aircraft as I built it.
