Who here is going to be getting Call of Duty? I will be getting my copy today(hopefully), and I would be interested in playing some MP Coop tonight if anyone is interested.

UPDATE

Well, after calling the regular stores here in SD, it looks like nobody has it in stock yet. Bummer. Looks like the fun will have to wait. Kind of lame that the release date is 10/29/03, but yet none of the stores here in SD have it. Maybe Best Buy or GoGamer will have it for less than $50. At any rate, I'll shop around and see what I come up with.

Call of Duty

Well, I never got around to buying a copy of CoD. I kind of lost ineterest when I heard there was no MP coop. I do have copy of CoD for the SP game, which is GREAT! I heard a rumor that there is a MP coop addon in the works, but it's just that, a rumor. If enough of us are interested in some MP online play with CoD, I will go buy a copy.

No, they do not have MP co-op. But they do have some team v team stuff that looks kind of interesting:

Retrieval: one side has to retrieve the docs that the other side is defending

Search and Destroy: one side defends objectives that the other side has to destroy.

Just modified team deathmatch with some stuff thrown in.

I don't know if you get AI to fill out a team. At least that way, a couple of us could play against each other with enough teammates and tangos.

Unless six or eight of us got this, i don't see this happening. Sounds and action are good. Plenty of powerups and saves to detract from realism, though.

Got CoD Retail

Post by Softball »

I finally got a full retail copy of CoD off of Ebay for $14.99, sealed and new. So, if anyone wants to try out the MP modes in CoD let me know, I'll give it a try.
