R63 1.3 patch

The Platoon reports there may be a problem with it, so we should hold off for a few days.

Here is what they say about the problem:

The 1.3 patch has an error that causes servers to crash on the "deploying countdown". The crash has you (and everyone else in the server) sitting in the game staring at the countdown stuck on 1. This happens at random times. The only way to exit is to open console and type in either disconnect or quit.

Hopefully there will be a server side fix for this soon, or maybe a full 1.3 patch fix. We'll keep an eye on the situation at hand.


I will also hold off on the 1.3 patch until they come out with a NO CD patch. My computer does not like the Safe Disc 2 copy protection that RvS uses, my game will not run 100% with the CD in the drive, go figure. :roll: Besides, switching CDs is a hassle when you play so many different games.

Now wouldn't it make sense for UBI.COM and all of the 1.3 patch MIRRORS(The Platoon, Fileplanet, etc...) to remove this from their servers until the patch is fixed? I just can't figure out why they release a patch and it makes the game worse. Piss poor QA I guess.
