Softball,
OK, I got going on this now. My character is a Dark Elf, Nightblade, sign of the Mage. I think my specialties are Destruction magic and Blade skills. I'm out of the prison, on my way to Charon(sp) to deliver the "package" to the guy.
Have you played with crafting potions? I made some stuff with the shrooms, etc from the sewer ... raised my alchemy skills.
Question ... I've been swimming a lot, why do my athletics not increase?
Found a fort on the way to Charon ... killed a few imps. They're interesting. Found a mud crab/spider on the way. Long walk.

Ah the latest RPG eh? How many of you guys are playing it? does it cost anything to log onto the servers? How much is the game?
I was a huge D&D guy for years and loved MMORPGs, but found they got repetitive by nature. How does this one stack up?

It's single player only, so there's no subscription. You just buy the game like any other. I think it's just the current going rate ... $50. You can probably get it for $46 at gogamer.
BTW - new FiOS internet service from Verizon was installed yesterday. I'm consistently getting 5000kbps down and 1800kbps up. I'm on my own fiber - not sharing bandwidth with anyone. They installed a box outside my house where the fiber goes directly into it. It breaks it out into cat-5, pots, and cable tv. Cat-5 goes straight into my router.

Grif,
if you like D&D, you would probably be happy with Neverwinter Nights. It is a bit older, should be fairly cheap, but has a large and strong community.
SB, Gator, Madrus, and myself have it and played two or three missions in the campaign... It is pretty good MP as well. It is a good pick up game as it does not take a lot to get into it.

Jeez! These are plain and simply scarey numbers to us over here - I am still on a 2Mb line: 768k down, 256k up

So, did you find Martin? Have you been in Oblivion? That's where I am now, trying to break the siege of Kvatch.
Found a cave - had 3 "deranged zombies" in it -- I need better weps and spells or something. They stomp me.

hmm the game looks kinda similar to morrind elderscrolls 3. i played that for awhile. and got the expantion, its not MP either. but was a great game to play single player. had a huge amount of ground to cover. becuse you either walked, speed ran ( with spell) or got a ride on striders or ships. even some of the discriptions of your charactor sounded similar, is it made by the same company i wounder?
hmm did a quick web search and it looks like it, so much for answering my own questions lol.
http://www.elderscrolls.com/home/home.htm
will have to look into it sometime for some good single player.

Gator, man...what is that in MB? sounds fast....what does it cost? and how come you're not sharing Bandwidth with anyone. Will that eventually change?

8 bits(b) = 1 byte(B) & 1KB = 1024Bytes, so divide 5000 by 8000 to get the approx KB as opposed to Kb. It works out at about .625KB/sec

by Gator
5Mbps = 5x1024x1024 bits/sec
ISPs typically quote their speeds in Mbps, which is why I listed that number.
I think the number is closer to .625MB/s not KB/s
It's the verizon FiOS ... $35 per month. I think it works like DSL in that you have a direct connection to the phone company central office. I am not sure what the theoretical bandwidth limit is for a fiber connection, but It's probably much more that I am using. Each subscriber has their own line.

 Erm, yeah sorry - was too busy explaining and well you know the rest . . .
Yes, 0.625Mb/s.
