For those of us that have CMSF (Combat Mission Shock Force), there is an add-on module available that supposedly improves the game from it's original release. It's called CMSF: Marines, $25.00. There is an article on it over at SIMHQ.com, you can read it here:

what do you think? want to wait for the patch and try a game? or would you want the marines module off the bat? my bet is they will delay the patch a bit to try and enhance sales of the marine module. it is not like either of us are dying to play this. ;)

I just went ahead and ordered it (Mail only version). From what I have read on the CMSF forums, the module is pretty good. Still no MP COOP though, but they are "supposedly" working on it. If CMSF had MP COOP, I would definately play it a LOT more.

Did you see that they are making a Theater of War 2? The screens and videos look pretty good, but I think I'll wait on a review before I consider getting it.

EDIT: Check out these comparison images I found on the forums. Amazing detail on the weapons!

i tried the generic 1.10. it has been so long i do not remember details of gameplay before, but this is pretty cool. i just wish they had MP now, not just head to head. but theye even say in the manual it is coming. this will be an excellent game then.

Does the 1.10 patch make the original game compatible with the Marines module? I'll assume yes.

i do not think so - but it brings the same fixes to the game that are included in the Marines module. you do not get the new units, etc.
