I played through some of these maps last night. It turns out that some of these maps are Adversarial only, and because I had them set otherwise(Terrorist hunt), the game would either freeze up or CTD. Unfortunately the OIL RIG map is not exactly an OIL RIG. It's only one level and it's more like a Warehouse setup to look like one of the levels of a ship. It was kind of small and pretty lame IMO. Bummer, I was really hoping it was like the OIL RIG from Rogue Spear.
The mission pack comes with it's own installer, so there are no hassles with installation. I hope we can run through some of these maps this week.

Madrus,
They only CTD because I had them set to Terrorist Hunt and the maps are designed for Adversarial only.
The maps that I tested that did work with Terrorist Hunt were:
Embassy
Oil Rig (LAME MAP)
Close Quarters
***
One's I tested and are Adversarial only:
Subway
Dead Negotiations
Trailer Park
PC Gamer
I would say that the maps that got good reviews (Top 8 maps) would be worth looking at. I am going to run through more of them tonight and see if they are any good.

Yep. I can add terrorist hunt, and even hostage, bomb, SP and any other game types. Let me know which maps need it and I'll do it. Making the maps is the hardest part - setting up the game types just takes a little creativity. It's not quite as easy as just a check-box, but it's doable.
BTW - if the game crashes when you pick an unavailable gametype, it just means that the mapper didn't set the gametypes in the ini file correctly. You shouldn't even be able to choose an unavailable gametype. I am suprised they released the maps in this state.
Some of the maps look great, from watching their progress on the forums. I'm looking forward to some of them. Keep in mind that this version of the editor is VERY different from the one that shipped with UT2003, so all these mappers only had about 3 weeks to not only learn the mapping software, but come up with good maps for the contest. Just wait til they build their skills up - there will be some awesome maps soon.

Well, unless anyone has further input can you do the magic on all of the maps from the pack except Oil Rig? Make them all single player, adversarial, terrorist hunt, and hostage?
If so let me know and we will plan on how to release them, as a pack or single downloads (for folks on dialup)? Single downloads is prolly easiest all around...
