Everyone HAS to get this map pack. We played through some of the maps last night, and they are pretty damned good. Get them now so everyone has them. Just be sure to uninstall the 1.0 map pack before installing version 2.0.
I also downloaded a couple of seperate maps that are worth noting. The first map is
Stargate 2.1 (Very cool map). The SG 2.1 map is the SG facility that they started in at the beginning of the Stargate movie. You can even go through the SG Portal to another area of the map. The map is pretty big and open spaced (Long Hallways), and we found it quite challenging. The downside with the SG map is that it has NO ADVERSARIAL. SP and COOP only.

The other map I DLed (but have not tested) is the
Hadishi Village map. I will give it a test run later when I get time.

HUDSON is adding the map pack 2.0 maps to his RvS dedicated server, and hopefully he can add the SG map and possibly the Hadishi Village map(After testing).

What has to be done to add the adversarial mode? How difficult?

I would assume you would have to put 2 starting points on the map, one at each far end of the map? One team would start on the portal side of the Stargate, and one team at the COOP starting point. I would think a little bit of editing of the map start points would solve this problem.
The SRI LANKA(Map pack 2.0) maps(night and day) are pretty good too. It takes place in a jungle environment, and there is a HUGE missile storage complex inside and on top of a mountain.
We also played MOUNTAIN LODGE map, which is an open area map that has a log cabin type building(with tunnels underneath) in a huge open outside area, including a lake and a waterfall. (It reminds me of the farmhouse map in GR, where there's a downed plane you have to destroy).
Pretty good maps so far.

Aren't these maps in the Map Pack 2? If not, how should these 1.1 versions be installed if Map Pack 2 is already installed? Will these overwrite the Map Pack 2 maps of the same name, updating them? I'm a little confused about these 1.1 versions. I will wait to install these until we know for sure, don't want any inconsistancies.
There are some other nice looking maps on that page though, Bordertown and Dead Negotiations (Mogadishu style map).

Dead Negotiations is part of the map pack.
the crudeoil.ini from the map pack states it is version 2
the readme states version 2
the subway.ini from the map pack states it is version 2
the readme states version 1.1
the trailerpark.ini from the map pack states it is version 2
the readme states version 1.1
the wescottresidence.ini from the map pack states it is version 2
the readme states version 1.1
I think the versions at that link are the same as the ones in the map pack, just seperate releases...

the dialogue in this thread is a little confusing. Sounds like some overlap between the two versions of the mod? How do I uninstall the first map pack? Do I need to uninstall at all?

Grifter,
You should uninstall Map Pack 1.0 first, then go ahead and install Map Pack 2.0. And that should be it.
The seperate version of Dead Negotiations includes a new map, mainly a coop map called THE MOG. It is a larger map than the Dead negotiations map, and in fact THE MOG includes the Dead Negotiations map all in one. THE MOG map will surely be a fun map for Adversarial play.
The Hadishi Village map is pretty good, for both COOP and ADVERSARIAL.
