COMBINED OPS MAP
I had originally posted about this map for us to try. DO NOT DL and install the Combined Ops map. I received an email stating that there is a problem(CTD) when using night vision on this map and it overwrites some of the default textures RvS uses. The creator is currently working on a fix for the map, I will post here when it has been fixed.


I have DLed (5) of the other maps from his site and put them into one zip file. You can get the file/maps here:

Be sure you read any README files included with the maps for installation instructions.

if maps do not have a simple click on them and install, i won't be using them as i have no time for it...

Yes, they have the self install programs with them Steel.

Caution. I installed and tried to play these maps in Custom Mission. The MOUT, CQB, and Bridge Assault resulted in a CTD error message for no starting point. I don't know if that means they will crash my game in MP, but ...

Plus they are not single click installs. You have templates to install as well as applications on some of these maps. I'm a lazy ass too, Steel, if they don't install with one click, I start to worry.

Actually, I think it is the map writer who is a lazy ass as well, if he can't make sure his mod installs correctly and easily. Some of these guys speak English as a second language and their readme's aren't much help either.

Sorry everyone. After reading the readme file, I was under the impression that all you had to do was double click the map file, install it, and then double click the template, install it, and that's it.

The lazy ass comment is not to be taken seriously. Only a razz, please don't take it the wrong way.

In the future, I will test any maps I post about FIRST. I will be the guinea pig and mess up my RvS first. Makes sense eh? Sorry if these maps do not work, the web site I got them from listed all maps as playable in all modes. I have not been able to test the maps yet on my computer, but I will test them tonight.

At any rate, none of us know how these maps work until we try them ourselves, and sometimes not until we multiplay them with others. We are all on the lookout for new maps and you were just trying to help out.

I haven't played all the maps i listed in a different thread, but there were a couple of bad ones and several good ones in that bunch.

well, i am not a lazy ass - my 16 hour days can attest to that. but since i do have 16 hour days, as i said i do NOT have time for lazy ass map makers!
