UPDATE: Madrus and et al....After doing some intense searching for how to do this, I FINALLY found how to setup COOP in BHD MP. You need a file called MASTER ADDON for BHD. You can get the file here:

ATTENTION: YOU MUST FIRST UPDATE BHD TO 1.2.1.1 BEFORE INSTALLING THE MASTER ADDON FILE.

Install this master addon to your BHD directory(Point it to where you have BHD installed). Once it is installed, it will make a shortcut on your desktop called MASTER ADDON. Run the MA program and an IP box will show up. If you are Hosting a game, enter your IP into the box. If you are Joining a game, enter the "HOST IP" into the box. Click on FILE and choose SET JOIN BY IP. Click START (Make sure you have your BHD CD in the drive) and BHD will run using this MASTER ADDON program. Once you are in the game, click on MP as usual and either choose JOIN or HOST (Whichever you are doing). If you Host, you will notice 2 new options in the MP game types, COOP and KING OF THE HILL. Set your MP options and hit START. That should be it. I was able to start a coop map I DLed and play it. Of course I had no one with me, but I am dying to try this out with someone ASAP!

I was searching the web for some DF:BHD coop missions and I ran across this site:

They apparently have 3 MP coop maps for DL. I was wondering if anyone here would like to test these out and see if they work as MP coop? Anyone?


DF:BHD COOP MAPS


Coop missions for DF:BHD are hard to come by, they must be tough to make or setup. I am looking into this, as I will be interested in making some missions in DF:BHD if coop works well.

In the past three days I have spent at least 3 hours DL BHD MP co-op missions, trying to play them, and even making my own mission using the mission editor, and I have come to a couple of conclusions:

1. None of the missions I have DL work in MP online. You have to go through Novalogic and you have to pick a game type - and there is no co-op mission type to choose. Am I missing something basic here?

2. every one of the missions i dl only works, if at all, in SP.

3. some do not load at all - ctd

4. i am stupid - because I can't get these things to work - or these guys who call these missions MP co-op have a different concept of MP co-op than we do.

maybe they think it is co-op if you spawn with AI teammates that follow you. I have been really frustrated by this.

SB, I DL and installed those maps and I get the same results - they only show up in SP. I think we are stuck with team deathmatch, A&D, etc.

I would still like to try MP BHD anyway. I think we have at least 4 guys who have it. Or maybe all of us can join a server on the same team.

I am typing this from my phone so hopefully this works.
I have not had time to test out the coop missions, I will test these today when I get home. I have a feeling you may be right, or BHD would be the talk of the town. That's really too bad, because BHD is a pretty good game. I am up for some BHD anytime. It sure is gonna be hard to beat those GREAT RvS maps from last night.
