Below is a cut'n'paste of the ReadMe file from a 10K d/l from FilePlanet via Ghostrecon.net. It make s for interesting reading as far as missions is concerned. We should try this out, the more covert types of us who may get a kick out of it - it appears that an element of stealth has been incorporated, such that silenced weapons make a difference to the outcome. Shall we?

Covert Ops v1.0 by |r0n Dr. DoomX
=================================

Covert Ops is a game type for Ghost Recon IT 1.4. Simply extract the files into your MODS folder and it will automatically put it into the MP2 directories.

This is a coop game type and there are three versions of this game, 50, 100, and 200, each corresponding to the number of AI in the game; this is done so servers of different capacities can run this. The object is to infiltrate enemy held territory with silenced weapons and disable the alarm as fast and quietly as possible. Minimize your kills until you get the alarm, because if you kill too many, you will "set off" the alarm.

The alarm will appear as a green box on the map and once it is disabled, it will turn red. Simply walk into the smoke to disable it. The person who disables it will get a Socom rifle with 10 sensors, and he will be marked by a flame underneath him (which the AI cannot 'see'). If he dies, the socom and sensors will be lost.

When you spawn, you will have mostly MP5-SD's with a random chance to get a SR25-SD. Cooperation and teamwork are essential to this map if you don't have infinite spawns on. This makes this map effective for training in cooperation tactics in clans. This game is best played on 'base style' maps like Castle, Night Docks, Night Airfield, etc...

BUGS:
=====
None known.

CREDITS:
========
This game type was derived from the original "Recon" game type.

PLANS FOR FUTURE VERSIONS:
==========================
- A Team version of this game type.
- A 'smart' AI who would respond more like real people and
be responsible for setting off the alarm themselves.

Once again, there only seems to be a Covert Ops 2.0 compared to the readme links posted above which state 1.0... Is that (2.0) the correct one?
