Halo 2

Post by Softball »

I picked Halo 2 up today, woot! I know Gator and I see Hammer has an Xbox. Are you guys planning on getting Halo 2? Maybe we can play online together if/when you do?

I found something that will really change the way I feel about FPSs on a console. A Keyboard and Mouse adapter for the Xbox. :D The gamepad is one of my biggest pet peeves with FPSconsole games and now there is a solution. Check it out here:

I have ordered this adapter and should have it for testing within a week.

It comes out here tomorrow, and I'm planning to pick it up the moment I get out of school!

I'll be getting it - but since I'm not the "maniac" that Softball is, I'm waiting a bit ;)

I thought the same thing about being able to play an FPS with a console controller, but after a couple levels of Halo, it became natural. The analog controller is very respnsive and I had no trouble using it to make my way through the game.

So, what do you think so far?

Well, we will be picking up a special edition X-Box set for the kids for Xmas. And we get to choose some of the titles, so I'll encourage the wife to select Halo 2 if you think it's worth doing so. Not to mention one of them mouse emulator thingies, LOL!
WHO'S xmas pressie did you say that was , darling?!!

well, Halo is great one ... it set a standard in friendly and enemy (mainly) AI. Plus, it's marginally realistic in a futuristic sort of way - (in the original at least) you can only carry 2 weapons -- if you wanted a new/different one, you had to drop one.

I would definitely advocate Halo to any action fan who has an xbox.

Halo, without a doubt, is worth getting, and it will easily pay for itself in my opinion. The storyline alone is an absolute classic, and the music, well... Within 2 weeks of first playing Halo, I had ordered the soundtrack.

All I can say about this game is 'Wow!' :P

Just as soon as broadband is up and running again, I'll sort myself with Xbox Live, and all the necessary bells and whistles.

Out of interest, where is everyone-who-has-this in the campaign?
