I just loaded this up and 2.85 rocks! I do not know why it is so much better than 2.7x, but it sure seems to be...

I actually haven't played inf for months
there's nothing wrong with it, exept that it doesn't have the right feeling in my opinion.....it feels too UT like, in other games/mods it's just a better feeling...don't kill me for this, but cs has a better feeling
-->gfx, realism, models, community,...ALL BETTER IN INFILTRATION but cs feels better :razz:

but I still think that all games should implement the aiming system

I agree that different games will feel right for different people...but CS! GEEZ!

yeah...but till september I played cs for hours a day, as a matter fact, I was a member of the n°1 belgian,dutch and 2on2(world) clan and the n°3 of the world that time(according to http://www.clanbase.com, wich arranges the wars for europe...I believe in the US it's another site?)so I'm used to the cs feeling
and I started playing it again a week ago-->still think it rocks in LAN, but community and gfx suck bigtime :sad:

i've been playing inf for a few weeks now, and i visited the website. It said P90 and FiveSeven are in the game(2.85) but no its not. Any idea where its hiding?

well, do you have version 2.85.5 ?
there where already otehr 2.85.x versions, and these weapons are just included from 2.85.5...

if you have that, you should check your loadout, there is no standard loadout with these weapons. You shall have to make a new loadout with these weapons. (check the manual if you don't know how to do this)

Yes, exactly. Those weapons are there - just not in any of the pre-configured loadouts...

i've just downloaded 2.85.3 and then 2.85.5
and i still cant find P90 and fiveseven!
So you guys said go to the configure loadout menu where you purchase guns and i'll find it there(?) anyway i did that and nope those 2 guns arent there at all.
any idea whats wrong?

Well, they are in mine...

Make sure once you are in the console (after hitting escape at the splash screen) and you click on the LOD button. In that screen you will see the loadouts listed at the bottom of two windows - in a pull down type menu. In the top window (weapons available) are listed the weapons available in the game... In the bottom window are listed the weapons purchased for the particular loadout that is currently selected.

hey what you guys think of the M3? it feels weak even at mid range, maybe its the excessive spread. and i think the aiming's a bit off coz the shots hit higher than the
sights.

okay, once i unzip a map into the map file and load it in the game, it says some url is missing or something. Becuz of this, only like 1 out of 10 maps i downloaded can be played. is there anything wrong?

Is there any reason you are not using the umod version for installs? If it is "after-market" maps, I don't know. I either let them auto download or don't play them. I like the official ones as they are team approved and definitely meet their standards. This is not to say that the others are not just as good...I just don't have the time to monkey with them.

Yah - we know. It has been almost out for many months... I don't really care any more, even though Infiltration is what got this site started. When it is out, I will probably take a look at it, but I do not think it can compare to Ghost Recon...although I wish the two games could be combined. THAT would be a good game.

that is cool...but interesting since we are one of the mirrors and they have not notified us. we are just red-headed step-children!
