Hello everyone.

We talked tonight about giving Steel Beasts a try for some armor action. Yea, the graphics aren't the best but the gameplay is spot on.

If you have Steel Beasts, and are interested in joining us for some Tank action, install and patch to the latest version (1.226). (See links below for patches).

If you do not have Steel Beasts, either check your PMs for info on how to get it. (I sent PMs out to who I think would be interested). If you did not get a PM from me, and are interested in playing, send me a PM and I'll send you the info on how to get a copy.

Jedi, that is version 1.0 (Original), so you need all the patches up to 1.226.

You do not need the Gold version map patch.

I played a couple of the training mission last night before going to sleep. What a hoot!! The sounds are AMAZING!! Very realistic IMO. It's been a LONG time since I have played SB. I think we are gonna have some fun with this, even if it is a 3-4 year old game with no 3D acceleration.

yeah - been a while since i played too. this is the only game of which the demo kept me up until 2-3AM for 4 or 5 nights doing all the training, etc. (back in the day).

be prepared for a military operations experience - it lends itself very well to that. it will take some time to learn, but the simlulation (it is a sim, not a game) is worth it.

Thanx for that link too Steel. I'll probably find myself in ther a few times, seeing as we do it differently over here - I mean crew drills are different. Anyway, we'll see how it goes. I'll go try find it in the shops.
