I created a mission and Ill host tomorrow with the hope we dont get any warping.
Ill share the server name or IP when we're on TS. I have slots for whoever is able to join in. Ill post the ATO tomorrow and we'll wait for everyone before we hop in the pits.

Thanks for making the mission trichome!

Re: July 30 - Mission
So anyone fly Trichome's mission?
I looked at the server and it looked as if someone flew the Foothold mission, or at least logged into it.
Great job making the mission Trichome. Hope it worked out.
In terms of Foothold, I can't recall how much updating I did on RLG forums as I'm kinda between world between here and Poland right now but:
-When I get back I need to investigate the updated Foothold Sinai that was done for me--I never got a chance to before i left for Europe.
-It is still uncertain whether it is Foothold itself, players' individual bandwidth, players' personal video cards (recall, Sinai is one the most graphically intense maps in DCS), or the RLG server. To that...
-I had made mention of someone hosting the Foothold Sinai mission one night, but it would have taken some messing around with their scripts and playing around with some files. I didn't hear from anyone volunteering to do so but at this point, it's moot as i will be back by next Wednesday's mission.
That said, we can try it with me hosting. If no one has any issues, then we'll at least have it narrowed down to possibly the RLG server. We;d nave to decide what to do from there.
Alternatively, we have Foothold Kola that we could try (it works fine when Wingy, Recluse and I run it).
Anyway, that's where we are at the moment.

Re: July 30 - Mission
Hi bones. Several of us flew Tricome’s mission last night and we encountered some really bizarre issues. It seemed trichome was out of synch with the rest of the players because he would see players still parked at the airport/airfield while those players were already in the air flying. There was also some lag/rubber banding reported.

Ok, so I think this gives the DCS server and Foothold some slack regarding being the culprit. Hmm.

Re: July 30 - Mission
There was no rubber banding when Trichome hosted, just issues on his end as the host. He probably has to open a port or something.

Re: July 30 - Mission
I remember Jedi saying that he saw trichome’s plane warping and clipping into the runway as he was watching him taxi.

Just an FYI.. this mission is fixed and ready to go if anyone wants to try it at some point.

Let me know when you are free and I'd fly it with you.
