Pre-purchase is now available ($59.99), and you get to DL the BETA until final release (which you will have already paid for with pre-purchase).

I managed to take off using the KB for controls (it was late and I just wanted to go for a quick spin), this is going to be pretty damn fun to fly.
I've already started reading the manual.
DCS A-10 Manual
And here are some screenshots that Freycinet at SIMHQ took, prepare to drool...

Absolutely gorgeous!!

OK Guys DCS A-10 BETA and PRE ORDER!!!!
You can now PRE-Order DCS A-10from their website and in doing so you get to download and fly the current BETA NOW!!!
http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/
Thought you might be interested??
Also a note on those screenshots Softball! Not that good are they?? I still think that flight sim graphics peaked with F-15 Strike Eagle for the Commodore 64! Those wire frame Mig 21's and triangle wire airfields that you didn't actually have to land on to land were the height of realism, plus the fact that if you kept pressing the throttle up key after running out of fuel you could keep flying was totally realistic, and the ultimate in Flight sim realism! All this photorealistic aircraft and real life radar mapped textured ground modelling with cloud shadows and realistic weapons ballistics and Uber clickable cockpits, just lets modern day Flight sims down don't you think??
Actually i've now got Screenshot no:41 as my desktop background "Absolutely stunning"!

Hey Nemisis.......look at the second post in this thread (my post)....Redundancy is good, right?
@Panzer
Why wait? This will eventually be the full version, so why not get a head start? And don't tell me you already have too many games to play, cause you will have the same number of games when the full version is released. Lol!

Thanks for that video Nemisis, out-fu*king-standing!!! Absolutely stunning to watch. I love the scene where the A-10 is flying over the water (5:14); it's jaw dropping! The music is perfect in this clip (I think it's from Transformers). Also, earlier in the clip there is a tank drving along an airfield and two A-10s are taking off; great camera shot there. Honestly, this should be the intro movie when you run the game.
This clip makes me want to reload F4:AF, great music too -

The BETA has a few quirks, but I can look past that. For example, if you use your hat switch to look around, and you keep looking behind you in a 360 circle, it keeps turning and spinning if you hold the hat switch in the same direction. There is no limiter to stop the view. The Landing training mission track is missing, no big deal. I have been able to land successfully every time, it's like riding a bike. No need for training. Heck, I landed on a blown out front wheel (rim only), no problems landing, but small problem turning after touching down, Lol. Small things, but I am positive they will get any bugs fixed by the official release. I am just happy to be able to support the developer and have a functional product to play around with. I am really looking forward to flying this as a group, should be very fun.

Glowing Amraam has been making movies since Lomac first got released and they are all pretty stunning, he has done similiar great movies for Lomac and Black shark. Here is his best Lomac Movie it's called "Superior Fighters" and is another Jaw Dropping Vid by Glowing Amraam. I have most of his Vids on Hard Drive they are just amazing to watch. Best of it all his earlier work like this one were done on a PC that was actually below minimum Spec for Lomac! he used to replay the tracks at super slow motion so Fraps would get a nice smooth capture and then speed it back up to normal when editing, the guy has a talent. He now works with Eagle Dynamics and DCS (just as a fan not as employee)to make promo vids for all thier Lomac releated Sims but does it for nothing.

Well looks like i got Lomac Syndrome again! My system won't run A-10C! looks like my GFX Card or CPU just can't handle it! Keep getting memory can't read errors and 3DFX errors when trying to start a mission. Same stuff i used to get when Lomac first came out and i had to do my first major upgrade to get it to run. My system does meet minimum requirements but obviously not good enough. Looks like another upgrade is required before i can run A-10C. Nevermind i can at least start reading the manual and Keep in the air with FC2 and Black shark, until i can get my hands on a decent GFX card as i am not just going to get one that will just do the job, i will get something near the top end to keep me good for another 3 years at least.

What graphics card do you have again? Strange you can run Black Shark but not A-10, it's using a similar game engine. Are you able to get the game installed and it just won't run?

Installed and starts up ok ie get into the menu screens and all options available, but when i hit the fly button the game goes to the loading screen and gets all the way upto the point where i should be jumping in the cockpit and it then starts putting up all the errors! Definitely the GFX card is the problem. A-10C has improved GFX over Black Shark and Flaming Cliffs2 i believe, and my old ATI Radeon X1950 Pro just cant handle it, although i can run Black Shark and FC2 With mostly high settings without any issues. It's upgrade time again for my whole PC really, time to get everything up to high spec bit by bit.

An X1950, wow. That's what.....4 or 5 generations old? Yea, I'd say it's time for an upgrade. You can get a pretty decent system for cheap these days. I built a Quad core (45nm, 3.0Ghz) system with an Nvidia 295GTX last year and it's been rock solid. Sucks you have to upgrade to play a certain game, but it sounds like you are overdue for an upgrade. Maybe you can just get by with a graphics card upgrade?
Good luck, Christmas is right around the corner. ;)

Right now all I have is my laptop. Good bloke just needs a wee bit of a tweak to get her to the spec. needed for a good showing of this Flight SIM. The processor should work AMD Athlon II Dual Core 2.3Gig but the memory 3GB may not be enough since the video card relies on cache from memory ATI HD 4200 series laptop video card and it has no memory whatsoever. I play SINS of A Solar Empire on it settings on high five galaxies with about 40 planets per galaxy and it screams with no lag whatsoever. Upgrade the memory and I might be good. I will get you guys the specs when I get home and you tell me what you think. If need be I will get my desktop back up and running.

I believe some of it is in game DA.
You should log in sometime and play SINS with us you damn slacker. We are playing a very nice Star Trek mod for SINS, check the forums for the DL links. Also, we are using Teamspeak 3 for comms, get your shit together and jump on comms; even if you don't play just jump on and say hi or something.
