So, those of you with 2-stage triggers on your fancy HOTAS setups won't have to worry about this too much, but some of us don't.
PAC has two stages; PAC-1 holds the gun pipper in place when you press the trigger to stage-1 (alternatively the P-key or something else you map to your joystick)
PAC-2 compensates for the gun firing and prevents the canon from walking up like you might see someone do if firing wildly with a machine gun.
Tricks to PAC include not using speed brakes or rudder - you should only using stick to control the aircraft since PAC can't compensate really for the other two.
You may also wish to disable PAC if you're trying to walk up a lightly armored column where lettering your rounds disperse won't be so bad for business.
