is the BS upgrade (hah!) available on Steam? will it work with a boxed version of BS?

I have not seen BS2 on Steam yet. I bought the download version; have no idea how it figured out I had it or not, but it installed without issue; I started it up, but haven't even flown yet as I've been having too much fun with A-10C.
Honestly, even if it becomes available on Steam I'd say do what I recommended for A-10C based on the complaints I'm seeing; download the stand alone and just use your license key from Steam to activate it; it apparently works fine and you're not stuck waiting for patches like people are now, which is just lame.
