HI Creeper - Lets share the amendments here if we can. Im a bit of a visual learner so seeing the changes might help me figure this out....
I did try and actually got the mirage added to the USA 1990 faction after a few tries. Miss a (,) here or a ")" there and its all messed up.... wow...lol
I had to go into the France 1995 Faction to get the proper coding for the Mirage 2000C
Now I need to figure out how to amend the squadrons.... making progress....

Alright - I may have made some progress....
After amending the .json file I was able to create a campaign and "add" the mirage plane to the list of squadrons via the Liberation in game UI while starting a campaign. Once I did that I was able to purchase them on round 1.
Mirage (and others) not being a carrier capable plane we are limited on the campaign we can do until we capture more bases though.

Good stuff Trichome.
I got about that far. It appears that this campaign has to be managed at a high level. Its a turn based fly some missions, save and then resent to see how things have changed. Its not "dynamic" like some of the other MP missions I've seen. I'll keep digging. I had some time this AM to look into it.
If we run as mp, someone will have to start a turn and mission each time, "buy" aircraft, and then we execute and see how the battle changes.

looks like you have to make the faction, indicate squadrons, make those, then add into the faction, then add the faction into the campaign...

yes, we have flown a test liberation campaign before, it was an NTTR map. it was not too bad, and everyone understood that you flew the mission and someone had to do the in between admin stuff, then generate the new mission. it can be set so that each mission is long enough to last the entire night, you have to take care to ensure you are spawning enough player aircraft throughout the mission time period to accommodate those that need new aircraft.

I’d be willing to help with the weekly maintenance task of that helps make this a reality. I resent that campaign and it was tons of fun!

Im good with taking the file after every mission. Hammer may have to explain what to do with it when I get it. Do I just save it to Liberation on my side and it should run the next turn...?
Once Liberation turns the mission and generates the flights I (or we) can go in and amend them. Hammer if my notes are correct..,
Hot Start
Make the wingman slots the "client" bird
Preset mission loadout as best as possible (it can still be changed if needed ingame)
Leave the Liberation generated flight plans (I may amend some)
Ensure flight packages have support flights (i.e. strike has SEAD/DEAD and Escort or CAP etc)
Setup extra missions (if slots permit) for each mission types (w/ 2 birds) incase players get shot down
90 min missions
First package TO within 10-15 min after mission start
Second package TO within 30-40 min after mission start
For the custom faction Im going to just save an extra .json USA 1990 file. Just adding the Mirage. Name it RLG, but this can come at a later date. I just want to get a campaign under our belts. Liberation says it will auto create a Squadron if one doesnt exist. Since we have it (Mirage) added to faction and I see it in the UI Liberation list Im able to add the "squadron" and purchase the aircraft (tested already) during round one as long as we have a land base.
Should I add the Mig to the USA side for Creeper / SU25t for Panzer?
Should I add the Apache AH64D/ MI8 or 24?
I setup a campaign and I can further amend the flight plans but I have to be honest - I have ZERO military planning experience. My logic is air cover to covers assets. SEAD first w/ escort flights and work our way from home base outwards going after higher value targets first. I.E SAMS instead of targeting BTRs first.
I'll make another post after this. Just going to give the test campaign turn 2 a bit of a test run.

Thx for all the hard work! You got much further than I could.
As for the mig21, I can live without it for a map. If I had to choose between the mi24 and mi-8, I'd go with the mi24. I'm considering getting the AH64 but prob not til it goes on sale in Nov. Greatly appreciate you accommodating me.

At least 2 flights per route
At least 1 slot set to player on every flight so if you get shot down there should be another flight for you somewhere. Target (and route) may be different.
I was hoping to keep this first round simple. Quick shoot and scoot..... I really hope I made some headway on this. Please take a look and let me know what you guys think....
1- Planes available FOR Purchase during the mission
2 - List of planned flights
3 - Visual of flight plans
Im just trying to have extra slots open without making to many missions that take us to far into enemy territory.
I had to go into the M2000C YAML file and add other mission types. Only thing I cant get it set for is SEAD and DEAD, even though I added them to the mission type but I guess the M2000C wasnt used for that at all?
I have "turn 1" ready to go if everyone is okay with this to start. Again, I have ZERO military planning experience. Please let me know if you spot any issues.

Looks awesome! Add Mi-24 CAS and AH-64 CAS. If we can get the SAR (Search and Rescue) in, can add Mi-8 for that. If you really had space, add Mig-21 (Meat shield).
I was on Hoggit's Persian Gulf mp theater yesterday (using SRS quite easily BTW). There was a cool option to pick up troops from the airbase and fly them to a FARP to supply it. Not sure if that's in Liberation. Someone in a UH-1 was doing this the whole time. BTW, also flew with multiple flights to attack a navy target. Harpoons shot down quite easily on that mp server. Some guy was in a Viggen going really fast just above the water and rocketing enemy air defenses. Pretty cool to see (no, I'm not buying the Viggen!)

MI 24s were in for the coldwar so I can add them
AH64D wasn't until 1997 - should I added them?
Im good with it if the groups good with it?
I would like to try this out - before I start to try and amend the campaign again. particularly with Hammer so he can try the Mirage and see if everything works. Its the only amendments I made really.

Yes fine with not having AH64. If u have slots Mi-8 would be great but I can live with just the Mi24.

If its cool, we'll run turn 1 on Wednesday to see how things work. If any issues Ill try and correct those and add the Mi24 and the MI8. If not issues then we'll restart and Ill add those in anyways.

Alright guys.. ran into a snag.....
For some reason Im yet to sort out I have the Mirage 2000C listed in the Factions list / the available to purchase list / the flight plan list / I can see them in the ME....
BUT... When I load the mission to actually fly it the Mirages dont appear in the list. Im missing something and Im not sure what as of yet. Ill work on this but if Hammer isn't going to be on tonight Can we still give it a try? I can at least then test the saving and updating of the Liberation turn which I havent tried yet
