It's highly recommended that you reinstall the game and then apply the patch.

Excellent - am going to get that in a mo.! Thanx for the news. Panz - any reason why it's recommended to do a complete re-install? Have you had a bad day doing it the other way - or is that outside advice?

Yup 2 versions available 1.01>1.02 and 1.0>1.02

I would go with the fresh install and full 1.02 patch just to make it a clean install and avoid any problems.

FWIW, I tried patching without reinstalling and I locked up taxiing before takeoff on my first mission. 8O

So, I reinstalled and all seems well, although I have the 1.0->1.1 and 1.1->1.2 patches.

On the downside, Panzer still seems to get the "random lockups in external views while online as a client" bug. As server, I seem immune to the bug.

Okay guys thx - I'll go for the full re-install as you suggest - too many unknowns here, and as I was only trying to save myself extra work - it looks like I'd be better off doing the extra work now instead of later, eh?

Finally, with this new patch out I should be able to get back into the pilot's seat and get some flight time. I have'nt flown with WOF in forever and while I love the ground sims, it will be good to get back to dogfighting migs...those poor bastards.

Well, if my D/F skills are anything to go by, you'll be spending most of your time shooting them off my back - but hey I don''t mind playing chicken with an archer or two - just so you guys can rack-up the kills!! :wink:
