Looking forward to this coming together. Did you have to buy anymore supplies or you have everything for this build?
You're slowly planting the seed. I might want to give a model a go....might be a bit more economical than Legos(?)

I think the 1/35 needs to be next.... PDT_Armataz_01_36

Thankfully i had all I needed except the paints. water-based acrylics are like $1US per bottle at the local craft store so I was only one like $8. i had everything else.

1/35 would be cool but expensive and I need to build shelves for a place to put it.

Progress so far. This kit has some errors in it with some pieces that don't fit very smoothly but I'm making it work. The color scheme is to make it look very "Russian".

I'm going to make it with the doors and cargo hatches open.

Looks good....

How long do you think this one will take over all vs the HIND build?

The Hind took me prob 5 weeks off and on. This one will be done this week so about 2-3 weeks. Less pieces. I just gave it the dull cote and then broke something on it I can't fix. Last step is the canopies. I already have the decals on now. its therapeutic to work on.

Finished up on Sunday. here are some pics. I weathered the outside. I need to get some outside pics with better light so you can see the cockpit better. Not bad for pics with my Pixel 7:

I was going for the old Russian bird look that you'd be crazy to actually get into to fly somewhere. :)

Well done. Looks good and weathered....

Was the livery one that was on the box or you just chose that based of a picture somewhere?

there were 2 in the box and I chose the more challenging one. I messed up on a large circular one on the bottom and had to scrape it off and repaint. Frustrated for a rookie mistake of touching it with my fingers before it was dry.

I tweaked this pic in photoshop but really want to get a better one of the instrument panel. it was a decal and looked really good.

Does your pixel have a Macro setting for taking really up close pictures?
