What are your top 5 RPG's of all time?

Please note that by "RPG" I mean to include everything from the old school isometric RPG's to the modern day 1st person/3rd person RPG's.

Here are my top 5:

Baldur's Gate 3
Knights of the Old Republic
Elden Ring
Witcher 3
Elder Scrolls: Skyrim

Far too many to narrow down to just five. No particular order as they are all great in their own way:

Dark souls
Ultima 6
mass Effect
Elder Scrolls: Morrowwind
Dragon Age

Caveats: I have not played cyberpunk or BG3 yet.

Honorable mentions:
Neverwinter Nights
Baldur’s Gate 1
Elder Scrolls: Sky Rim
Deus Ex
Fallout
The Witcher (surprisingly this would rank fairly low on my list of all time great RPG’s.)

Thankfully, we don’t have to limit ourselves to just five in real life. There are just too many good ones.

Perhaps a better question would be what are the all-time GENRE DEFINING games? For example, third person action RPG? I would probably say Dark Souls. FPS RPG? Probably one of the Elder Scrolls. Turn based Isometric? Baldur's Gate 1. Turn based Top down? Ultima 6

I've never fired one in real life so making a poll like that wouldn't have much relevance for me.
