Mission Night 07.17.24

Post by Cr33p3r »

Not sure if foothold is running or not. I plan to be there but it'll likely just be me, Panzer, Jedi and Wingy with you slackers off on vacations! I planned on using the Mi24 or flying fixed wing for a change. PDT_Armataz_01_11

If its not running we can always skip til the following week when Trichome has returned.

It won't be easy but we should be able to manage foothold with only 4 pilots.

Depending on the mission, I have been able to fly Foothold by myself, an if worse came to worst, I could always call up some AI support.

I'll try to poke my head into the server before mission time to make sure it is up and running. I have been able to access it from Poland, so I'm sure when you guys are on mission I can access it from Spain too.

Yes, I'm off to Spain in a few hours.

When I finally visit Spain I'll be going to Cordoba to check out the best preserved Roman aqueduct in the world.

Even though just 3 of us on, good op last night and mildly successful. DCS update does not show kills for some reason, just the score. I will post some videos this evening. We attacked the dam.

- Panzer took out some bombers and I think and F-5 in an F15
- Jedi took out some boats and ground targets.
- I took out manpad and zsu near the Dam with my Mi24 before getting shot down in an Mi24
- I took out two F-5's. I thought 3 but only 2 were showing up when I landed (in F18)
- I took out one Mi24 in F18 before his brother got me when I wasnt paying attention
- Jedi and I managed to damage a KA50 that went into perpetual single engine spinning hover at 4,000 feet.

No real progress but some good practice and fun.

DCS was VERY slow starting up but ran smooth for me.

Good debrief creeper. We got quite a bit done with just 3 pilots. It exceeded what I was expecting which was disaster!

To follow up:

Lots of fun getting back in the F18. Just like riding a bike and did better than I expected. I really need to learn the F16. Its the only aircraft in my hangar that I haven't learned yet. Also need to learn the F18 Mav's at some point.

In that video enemy missile in the teeth at 2:41.
