Athena's Sword
Should be in stores/for sale online around the 9th according to the official site http://www.raven-shield.com.
Of course this only applies to the U.S., not other slightly inferior sort of english speaking nations.

If it provokes them into showing up and playing, then my job is done!

Now that would be fun
that would be great heaps of fun. now you have to hone your skill simultaneous for the live and computer players. And I can think of some maps/areas I would already love to see a three way cross fire break out.

See
Now that's what I'm talking about. Only someone from the island would be under the impression that a frag grenade needs to be loaded. Or are 'armed' and 'loaded' two more of those words you guys like to interchange to confuse the living hell out of the rest of the english speaking world, like 'torch' and 'flashlight'?KODIAK wrote:I didn't think it was loaded

Athena Sword Patch instructions. Could be confusing.
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 Raven Shield Website now offers a new version 1.01 patch for the Athena Sword expansion for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield, along with accompanying version 1.54 and 1.55 patches for the original Raven Shield. The whole assortment is explained by instructions saying: "If you are installing Athena Sword to Raven Shield v1.53, then you DO NOT need to install Athena Sword v1.01. Instead, patch to Raven Shield v1.55." Thanks XCP Blud. All these files are mirrored on 3D Gamers. The update is accompanied by instructions on how to set up stand-alone servers.
Would that be the same as maybe, let me see . . . .a LOADED hamburger (which incidently is actually made with beef??!!).
No Hudson my darling, I'll think you'll find I was playing with big boys toys, wreaking havoc, while you were sat in your pram trying to pull the "safety" on your dummy (or should I say - in your buggy trying to pull the safety on your soother?! ).
GODDAMN KIDS!

That argument might almost work, if the hamburger were actually called a hamburger because of its contents. Rather, the name is a reference to Hamburg Germany, from where a dish made of cooked ground beef came.KODIAK wrote:Would that be the same as maybe, let me see . . . .a LOADED hamburger (which incidently is actually made with beef??!!).

Look at the word history here:
http://dictionary.reference.com/search?r=67&q=hamburger
As for the word loaded used in that context, I believe it is perfectly correct. I believe that either english speaking crowd would agree that 'to load' can mean 'To weigh down' (http://dictionary.reference.com/search?r=67&q=load) as in 'to weigh down with condiments and garnish.'
As for the big boys toys, just remember every dog has its day. Us young whipper snappers are set to rule the world any day now; unfortunate for you. But don't worry the wee bastards will take it from us one day too. Course, they're gonna have to pry it out of my cold dead hands, same as you're thinking.
Keep trying though Kodiak, it's cute.

Athena Sword
Anywho...
Athena Sword is out (WOOT!), I got my copy installed. If you have 1.53 installed, it will automatically install 1.54 prior to installing the expansion. I guess I still have to update it to 1.55 according to this post. We'll see how it goes later tonight when I check out the maps.

Age & guile will overwhelm youth & enthusiasm at every encounter - and cute certainly has never been used to describe me in the last 20 years of my career. Mind you, you're getting close with the "bastard" reference - I have many young proteges to confirm that for sure (although they may be a little more elaborate with their descriptions!).
Anyway, if you force me to pry it from your cold dead hands, then I shall level no sympathy at you as I do so . . . . . .
