Post by daofcmacg »

If you have a printed copy or an original thats fine by me? Also does anyone have the manual in PDF format? I got it to work thanks to Nemisis, now I am trying to run a crash course in it and its not successful.

Anyone who has the CD Manual should be able to sort out a copy for you - maybe upload it to the ftp site?! Failing that, I may be able to do a copy for you and get it sent. let me know how you get on.

I have the manual and keycard printed version not the PDF versions but same as Kodiak i could probably scan it and send you the file.

The copy i have obviously dates back to the days when you got great packaging, printed manuals and keycards.

Unlike these days when the publishers only supply you with PDF's on the game disk and expect you to learn something as complex as a flight sim from playing the game, pausing it then opening the PDF read it then go back into the game! or print out a 200 page manual on your own printer using loads of paper not to mention the expensive couple of ink cartridges you'd use in the process!

That's why i bought the printed and bound Lomac manual, that way you can refer to it while still in game. A lot easier IMHO

Yep! Absolutely agreed there. I wish I could have got my hands on the binded manual for Falcon - even though to some extent it's out of date now. But the binder was there to make amendments to. The other option like Nem says was to print out everything on updates but with nowhere to put it unless you made-up your own binder - problem thre is you then (like me) have TWO manuals to read, and that could be a real pain sometimes, when you have limited deskspace for example.
Talking of manuals, do you still have the link for purchase of the LO-MAC binder Nemisis? Would appreciate it if you could put it here. Thx!

Nem, thx for the link. Get my copy ordered today I suppose. By the potential update - was there any mention as to how that would be achieved? Are they distributing it to all who have already purchased a copy for froee or are they simply updating future manuals? Any ideas?

Probably just updating future manuals. It'd be an immense task to ship updates to all those who have the original. AND FOR FREE?! They'd lose thousands, if not millions. No, I think they'll just include the updates in the to-be-released manuals.

From what i can tell the updates will be available to all that have already bought the manual but not sure if there is a charge for it yet or not.

I'll send an email to Nic Cole the guy that makes the manuals and find out exactly what's happening. :D

Well, I just printed-off the original pdf manual today, for now anyway. Don't have a paypal account, and the wife had the credit card in her bag so, I couldn't wait really. And since my cartidges have just been changed, it was probably about the right time to do a print-off anyway. Seems okay quality-wise, maybe that'll do me for now.
