FS 2k4 mission

Post by Madrus »

I will be flying a FS 2k4 mission this week. Anyone else want to fly it with me? Let me know either here or via pm if you are interested and when you would prefer to fly it.

So, Greg, what kind of missions is FS 2K4 capable of? I know you can fly a lot of different aircraft in a variety of environments, and weather conditions of course. What kind of objectives can you set?

I'd fly it with you. my preferences are between 8-10 pm easter ... but could stretch to 11 eastern ... If we can't work the timing out - don't wait for me.

Greg, you writing the briefing for that mission then? That would take a load of me if you could. I don't even have the game anyway.

Now I must ask what addons do I need for FS 2k4?

i am writing the briefing for the mission.

no addons are necessary.

"mission" consists of flying commercial airliners from US and UK to middle eastern airports to simulate the airlift of special ops personnel to the theatre.

i could do 8-10 eastern on saturday.

A potential victim for MSFS 2k4 could be on the way. A golfing buddy of mine told me does flight simming, and I suggested he may want to fly with us. At the moment he only flies MSFS, I think he has 2k2 though :( . Anyway, we'll see what he decides to do.

Have anyone heard of VATSIM.net? If we can fly the MSFS 2K4 on there network it will give a real feel for this mission. hundreds of people fly on there from point to point under the flag of different carriers, from what I hear they even have some military based squadrons flying missions on there.

Someone pointed me to that link the other month - sure it was someone on the WOF team. Looks very professional, and very realistic. A nice idea for our approach to that scenario DA! But you best be running that past Madrus really, he's doing all this side of things I believe.

About a month ago I put a post in the CMACG forum, about VATSIM...there is a whole community of virtual commercial airlines that fly on VATSIM.

So MADrus what's it going to be, check out VATSIM.NET and tell us what you think. Of course we will need to do some training due to the fact that there are actual human ATC that control airspace when they are logged on, plus all protocol that the FAA enforce are enforced there as well, but on the flip side it will be a Virtual Real experience that will give it a whole new look and feel. Also only bad thing is once you start the flight they really really really frown upon you quitting midflight so once you log on and sitting on the tarmac if its just from Chicago to Champagne or Chicago to Tokyo we better be in it for the long haul.
