Locating service members

Post by Kamikazi »

Does anyone know a way to find service members? My best friend is currently in Army boot, and another friend is in USAF boot. Both enlisted. Another good friend has been in the army for over a year, and is rumored to be in Korea. Any ideas on how to find them? I tried military.com - no luck.

Thanks

Your best bet in finding people in the active duty is to go through their family members. They should be able to provide an address for you to write to them (USPS). I don't think there's a locator for the folks in Basic because they are in and out before the paperwork could be added to the base directory. Once they hit their final assignment, you could go through the base operator to find them, but still then, I'd go through family first.

Good Luck

That is prolly the only way now...

There used to be a Army locator, and you had to know the SSN but I believe that service has been discontinued. Not sure what goes in the Air Force.
