I know you're kidding Kodiak, but I think there are clealy still some Falcon fans here: Raptor, steel, myself, you guys across the pond as well. No, it's just a PIA to install. But hey I'll do my best so that you and I can hook up and play. Sorry I have'nt seen you in a bit man. You got JO right? we've been playing that on Friday nights you know.
Yep, it's a pain in the ass alright! The FMs (for d/f anyway) seem to be pretty crap on FF3. So after much messing around in various versions, it looks like the basic SP4.1 is the best starting point. Much is promised in the near future - better FMs, better whatever else too! But it looks like the most realistic seems to be the above version at the mo. Although I really like the eye candy in FF3.
I HAVE been around - on the forums, but was a shade sceptical about the joint efforts with the BOD guys, not to mention I have been trying to devote my time to learning/understanding a bit more Falcon4. The radar is still giving me some real trouble, so obviously my SA is suffering somewhat, and as a result you end up getting shot at / down by an enemy you can't even get a bead on. Which can be real frustrating as you can imagine. Then, the little guy is busy with his hockey, which translates into - I'm busy! Kerrie has her hands full with work, which leaves myself juggling both the kids at the moment. So just trying to get into a bit of a settled pattern with that too. And I have no doubt people are still interested, it's more a caser of convincing people the PIA known as Falcon 4 is still worth the effort. But would be glad to get online with everyone again - last time it was fraught with problems for myself and others, so the enjoyment was lost.
