Okay, I have a seperate install of Falcon4 where I am making use of Viking's Typhoonv8.05 patch. To date I have experienced no problems whatsoever. In the near future, we will be seeing FreeFalcon4 and also an updated Typhoon patch which is intended to include a 2D & 3D cockpit over and above the standard patch which improves the aircraft & weapon FMs, and adjusts for realistic load-outs (even as far as the different countries' weapons). Also included in that patch are the Rafale & Gripen. I would like to see some support for approval of this mod into our standard team install when it arrives. There are enough of us who would like to fly those aircraft in missions.
I DO advocate realism, and I know there are others in the group who feel the same way. But it IS realistic to have these aircraft and their capabilities & weaponry in a Korea 2005 environment:
Gripen - currently in service with Sweden
Rafale - currently in service with France
Typhoon F.2- currently entering service with UK (2 Sqns on conversion)
Typhoon EF2000 - currently entering service with FRG
We already have such aircraft in FF3.1 such as F/A-22, we just never fly them. Albeit, I admit the FMs of most aircraft other than F-16 are somewhat limited in comparison. The bottom line here is that the mod is easy to install and doesn't cause any problems, so why not?
There is even the possibility that it will end up being integrated into FF4 anyway.

I have Republic Commando, but will probably return it and need to decide what to get for it (DW maybe). I probably have some others that I would play MP if others had them...
Oops, how can I forget H&D 2/SS. I have that as well.
By the way Steel, which game is CC5?

I forgot, I have m4mercs as well - it's not installed, but if it means I can shoot at/with Kodiak, I may have to install it!
Steel: If you're thinking of other games ... BiA looks like good MP for our style (1v1, 1v2, 2v2 tacticle style) ... DW is great - and making missions is relatively simple. Also SH3 is immersive as heck - plus I think the MP is coop.

i will not get sh3 due to the copy protection they used.
Kodiak is not interested in mw4 mercs as far as i know...it was a potential game for his wife. i just reinstalled it to potentially hgook up and play with some of my old ELH buds. would not mind playing it some... Kodiak, don't sweat too much sending it. Not that big of a deal. I already have mercs, and might pick up the mech paks if i find them cheap.
is BiA not a bit short on the number of folks that can play? only 4? i was considering it as well except for that - but it would probably be either that or dw.
CC5 is close combat 5, plus mods... it is head to head only so i do not expect it to take off a lot here...but maybe some folks have it and like it.

Well, as far as MW4 is concerned, let me know if you want it sent. I have it, it's a sealed copy, and up until you mentioned it was pretty much left for dead. Kerrie has given up on playing it right now, so if you DO want this copy say so. I am up for installing and giving it a blast otherwise. So, if it's something you want to get into let me know. I might even be able to encourage Kerrie to play again, who knows. We can always use the No CD patch, so we only need that one copy.

My list:
Il2/AE/PF
F4 w/FF3 (also have no idea how to use it, but it's there!)
UT2k4 w/RO3.2
SW:Battlefront
SWAT 4
OFP w/Y2k3 mod (have to update to v7)
CS:Source (comes with HL2 and has great bots)
LOMAC (1.1 is out, but I'm waiting for Naturalpoint to release it on CD here)
CFS3 w/more mods than you can count--doubt anyone but Panzer can connect to me
SFP1/WoV--WoV I've left untouched for MP stuff in the future while SFP1 has tons o'mods like CFS3
Rise of Nations Gold
Joint Ops w/Escalation
H&D2 w/SS
Looks like Gator has many of the same games as Panzer and I...
You need to get online more nights!! You're east coast, too, so scheduling shouldn't be too hard.

Well, I'd have to say there a re several ways to look at that suggestion Gator. Take this comment and turn everything on it's head - there are too many games to play for the number of people in this group.
Maybe what we are looking at here isn't so much limiting the number of games played by people in this group, but instead expanding the number of people in this group? But the dividing line of necessary action is dictated by what the current group wants. Do we want to keep the variety of games? Then we must expand the membership. But should we want to keep that group exclusive as such, then the number of games must remain limited. Very simple really.

we could choose a different game each week to be the game of the week. Then just rotate through the entire catalog. If a person doesn't have that game, they just take that week off!
But seriously. We could do that for a particular night of the week ... say Friday night we rotate through the entire catalog. Those fridays that a game is played that a person doesn't have, he should take his wife/fiance, etc on a date.

I remember one point in the not-too-distant past when we did that. Half of us would be playing RvS and half would be on OFP, since we had too many on at once to play just one game anyway (with too many RvS becomes too hard and there aren't enough OFP missions with large numbers of slots).
So if we choose say DW, those without could fly Il-2 or F4. If we pick F4, those without could do H&D2. Yada yada yada.
