Does anyone play this?

Does it have Bots for MP, so that you can effectively play Coop for the MP modes it has?

I have a renewed interest in it, but specifically for making a realism mod... I have posted in the mod team forum my ideas.

it does have bots for mp ... we've played the red orchestra mod for it against bots as well as the standard Assault? game type where you control nodes to work your way to the opposing team's home base. We played with some bots on our team against a whole team of bots ... works pretty well. We should try the Red Orchestra mod if you're interested ... it's an award winner...

Panzer and I have played this extensively, both standard UT and RO. Now in the 3.2 version the bots are quite formidable. In 3.1 and earlier they'd often sit in one spot or die repeatedly in some moronic manner.

I uninstalled it, but I can easily reinstall it if we decide to play it again. I think I played it what, once with WOF? This was back when we used RW for comms and I could not get RW to work while running UT2k4. I'm up for another go at it.

Really? I mean, it only came out last year and we've been using Ventrilo over a year, haven't we?

yes - we have used ventrilo for well over a year...

so the bots do work better in RO 3.2? I know they were problematic before, which is why i have never really played it...not looking for a bunch of other folks to be in the server with us - unless we find a decent unit that is...

Yes. In addition to simply shooting at you when they see you (which they've always done), they now take objectives and behave more like human players. Panzer and I have played 3.2 a few times now and lost maps a good 30% of the time. In 3.1 and earlier it was IMPOSSIBLE to lose.

Well I could swear it was RW, maybe it was Teamspeak 2 (We did use that for a while you know).

I haven't had a single problem with any games since using Ventrilo. So I'm positive my problem was not with Ventrilo.

Dude, I would absolutely LOVE to play UT 2004 and Red Orchestra. How about we play it this Thursday or Friday? Count me in.

By the way, dont forget to update Red Orchestra to 3.2 and also make sure your copy of UT 2004 is also up to date. Several patches have come out for UT 2004 since release.

UT2004 is up to 3355. you have to install it after the ecebonus pack if you install that.

i have also installed the 2 community bonus packs as well.

there is a full download of RO 3.2, and there is a patch from 3.1.to 3.2.

i would suggest we stick to IL2 PF on Thu night, unless folks that normally want to fly don't show and everyone has ut2004. maybe Fri is better?

I agree. Let's do that then. Friday can be our "non-flight sim night".

What? How can you misplace them, there's SIX of them! 8O :D I'm surprised they were able to cram them all in that box and I'm PISSED they didn't make it a DVD release at first. Only the bonus edition with the headsets was. Then they later released a DVD version like 4 months on, but I wasn't going to buy the same game twice!

Well, you know I am the "Game Master", so I have quite a pile to look through. I just hope the CD key for it is with the CDs as well. If I remember right, UT2K4 came in those stupid paper sleeves (Or was the UT2k3?).

The 6 discs came in a cardboard box. Disc 1 was in a tray at the front that flipped open like a CD box, the other 5 were in paper sleeves in the main box part. The box says "UT 2k4" on the spine and front.

I'd like to thank them for taking the CD check out with an early patch, BTW.
