OLDER SIM: F-18 Precision Strike Fighter

Post by Softball »

Does anyone here at WOF have this sim? I have the older (Hornet Korea) version, and I haven't flown it since it came out. I am thinking about getting this, and I was wondering if anyone from here has it and has tried to play MP with it? The graphics are excellent, there is a mission editor, it has Naval Ops(carrier landings, etc..), and some user made mods for it. Here are a few pics from a user made skin:

If I remember right, the maps were a bit small (targets were quite close to base), but the avionics were very well done. Not sure about the flight modeling though. I also remember being able to fly any plane by typing in the name of the aircraft type in the mission setup screen. Hey, it might be FUN....

The "older version" Hornet Korea, haha! I've got F/A-18 Hornet 3.0, with all polygon graphics and no textures! However, its still one of my favorites. Yes the maps are very small, but the only real setback is shorter enroute times and better video replays. The FM is a bit unrealistic, but a blast to fly. I've always wanted to pick up Korea, just never had the extra cash.
