That's the "Microsoft GameVoice" without the MS logo and software.

I bought the MSGV many moons ago and it is a great little piece of hardware. It is made by Plantronics, so you know it's quality hardware and it came with the headset/micropone from plantronics as well. The best feature is the headphones/speaker switch and the mute button.

I think there is a little more to the GameVoice hardware... It has buttons for changing channels assigned to it, as well as the Gamevoice softwre comes with it. No?

Headset and speakers

Post by Softball »

Cool toy PV. I have a MSGV but do not use it, seeing as we use RW for comms and I do not use the MSGV voice command software. Ah well.

Thankfully I have my Klipsch 4.1 speakers(400W) with the updated control pod. The control pod is for adjusting the volume, bass levels, surround levels, etc.. Well, it also has a headset port plug and an on/off button to turn off the external speakers, thus allowing you to use only the headset. You plug in your headphones and you are ready to roll. Of course I have to run a seperate cable from the headset to the back of my sound card MIC IN plug, but I never have to get back there to switch anything around. If I want external surround sound, I just turn the power button on the control pod to ON(GREEN LIGHT ON POD) and if I want to use the headset without external sound, I turn the power off(RED LIGHT ON POD). I bought these Klipsch 4.1 speakers 3 years ago(And still running strong) and they are IMO still the best computer speakers ever made. Yes, they are expensive($300), but I will never have to buy computer speakers ever again. (Unless I blow these up, 8O )
