Greetings ELH
Im here to invite you to take a hard look at the league I'm forming http://www.wmwl.net .I have a Euro Divison that will help with about half the season being played in YOUR TIME ZONE.Presently my Euro teams include the Chikens,Omega Alliance,HEL(this is real close).With one more true Euro team I will have the Euro division I envisioned when I put it in.

At one time you were considering this league please take another look.There's great teams in it, you would add to the greatness.

I am clossing down registration for the league on Easter with the season starting the following week.So time is of the essence.

Thank you for any considerations

Peace

<S>

Glad you found us!

As CO of the European section I would gladly welcome drops in our TZ. I checked out your league awhile back. I like the idea and style. My only major reservation is that 3rd person is allowed. The 'cheesy' factor of the magic eye is a major turn off for me.

Greetings Lancer.The third person debate seems endless.If thats your only reservation then its just weighing whats more important,Droping in games at reasonable times, or continuing the 3rd person vs 1st person debate.Personally I hope you can see past the "cheesy eye in the sky" ojection and join us. You all would be a great addition.

Peace

I never thought to check the 3rd person view on your server. I guess that's what I get going around with blinders on. I'll have to remember that folks can see me over hills and buildings, next time I'm on.

Well, I checked out the site and it looks pretty cool. I thought the CMO were just a fringe element, but after seeing their site, I think I need to party with them.
I tend to view 3rd person servers in the same light as NH/UA servers. But if we can do something for the 151st, and Lancer and his men can live with it(3rd person), I'm game. Of course that's easy for me to say, when was the last time I made a league drop?

Now if we could find a league for 'my' time zone...

I'll ask the 151st for their opinions. I would assume that the 151st would play the Euro drops and the 21st and 71st would play the US games.

The problem is the 'magic eye'. It was our chief complaint in BZ4. The 151st did the trials for MLL and proved that you could lock on without being seen! The question is, if it gives no advantage why do people get upset if its restricted?

Lancer is very succinct here. The third person view is just not realistic - so are you playing this as a sim or playing it as a game? If you know that answer you know the answer to joining this league. Of course you could play, stick to your simulation style (i.e. never use third person) and pretend the other guys are doing the same...and enjoy the time-zone-favorable drops...

IMHO - I will not play where the other folks have thrid person...but I am just one of the many in the unit.

Authority: 5 U.S.C. 301; 28 U.S.C. 509, 510; 42 U.S.C. 12186(b).

Source: Order No. 1513 - 91, 56 FR 35592, July 26, 1991, unless otherwise noted.

Subpart A -- General

Sec.36.101 Purpose.

The purpose of this part is to implement title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 12181), which prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability by public accommodations and requires places of public accommodation and commercial facilities to be designed, constructed, and altered in compliance with the accessibility standards established by this part.

There you have it people, it's the law.

But seriously folks, I would seem that ELH command had rendered it's choice in this matter, and the 151st has some GMT drops due them. Which raises another question, Given the global nature of ELH, in that we have members on almost every continent, why are we just in the Euro bracket? Not that I'm complaining, the 151st has done an outstanding job to date, and it is fit that they receive kudos for that. It's just that this seems all so sudden, and I don't know bout y'all, but I ain't been kissed yet.

Give 'em Hell 151st!

Feather stop drinking the coolant!

The way I understood it was the 151 would do the Euro TZ drops and the 21/71 would do the US TZ drops. I do have a tendency to nod off in lectures so I could be wrong.

Re: the kiss. I'll send Moose and CAM over to your quarters later :razz:

OK, I tried building a Zoner MK II with the JJ, so I could use the MK II Jumpy bug to my advantage, LLRMs so I could get a lock without being seen, and Clan Gauss so I could snipe. I might have to eat those words about some people needing 3PP cuz they handicapped. It might be gay as hell playin Mech like a video game, but it's even harder to give up takin it seriously. Sorry guys I couldn't hack it, and at this point it ain't worth the effort. Y'all been a bunch of swell wings, and it's been a blast the past 5(or is it 6?) years. But between the NH/UA and other Zone-type games, and not even being able to make it for a Damn practice, I'm hangin it up, till the Mech-Pak comes out.

Adios, I'm -------OUT------>

I'm starting to agree with Feather :eek:

The NHUA and 'majic eye' are killing this game.
