I was sitting here in math class thinking aobut how last night BH said about liking a thor with 3 LBX AC10s in the stead of 2 LBX AC20s 'cause they recycle faster. SO I though, well what about alot of smaller ACs? So I sat here and though it would be possible to stuff 4 Clan UAC 5's on a Thor (maybe a thanny too) And I was wondering if an alpa strike from that thing would rock a 'mech. If it would that would be a NASTY config. UAC 5s recycle every 1.5 seconds... HEhehehehee...

Mince and I played with this bout a year ago. Tends to be a bit impractical. We had a blast with some UAC2x8 Summoners we made. They are rather fun because due to the shorter recycle times, you jostle the aim of your target rather badly. >:) Only drawback, is that once you have em mad at you at range, they tend to close and give you a rather nasty end.

Yes Moose, yes I am. And I just found out I can stack 5 UAC 5's on a thanny so...Muhahaha. Oh, I made that Hellspawn config though I think I sacrificed more speed and coolness than you so I could put more armour on it. ::shrugs:: let's see how these things test.......

Hmmmmm.....tried that config out with a slight varaition Ob, i put on 2 med x-pulse, 2 UAC5s and a Clan Streak6.....individually they are pretty useless but with an alpha every 4 seconds and the 2 lasers and 2 UACs every 2 seconds, it doesnt take long to wear down the enemy (mine was against a thor who i beat 3-2 and a bagload of points cos it was TAA).....the biggest factor tho was definitely the quick reload, he was hardly able to get a shot on target, or even fire at all for that matter due to my speed and the constant rocking of his mech......need to get used to this, could be the start of something good

ive always felt that a stagger pattern of high powered weapons were best. if you can either keep em rocken constantly, or 'guess?' when they are about to shoot (generaly for most pilots its when the weapons reload or recharge) and get a shot off right before he does so his shot is wasted then thats the best way to beat your oponent if your 1 on 1 with him. the mechs i use now days have this stagger shot pattern. the thor i use has 1 cERM 1 cERL and 3 LBX 10. the lbx and the cerl recharge at a different rate. the cerl dosnt do alot of damage, but thats not what its there for, its to rock a mech. the LBX are the damage givers. the med is just becuse i had a spot lol. my Mcat hosts 2 cLRM 20 and 4 CERL. the lrms do damage but are there to rock a mech again. while the lasers are the damage givers. i got a bushy with a lxpulse, 1 lt guass and a clan heavy guass. it does the same thing. each weapon recharges differently. each mech can be used as a 'pop up' mech. or used if you are able to draw your foe away from his group and perhaps seperate them off by a hill or building. thats what works for me. but it does take practice to use these mechs in such a way.
