Yeah, thanx Steel - unfortunately 72MB is along d/l for me so I won't be taking part tonight! I'll probably head over to Frugalsworld and see if any of the guys online can help me with this damn Cougar problem of mine.

I looked on RW at about 7pm PDT and there was nobody on RW CH5. I saw Viper on ICQ so we hooked up and played some OFP for a while. I am thinking maybe we could come to some kind of agreement, where one night us OFPers(That have GR) could join with the GR guys and then another night the GRers(that have OFP) could join with the OFP guys. Then we would have many more people for the Team vs Team stuff, and Co-op missions are so much better with more people.

I know there are a few people who do not have OFP (yet) but I wouldn't mind playing some other game/sim as a compromise (Like the VC Demo, or Americas Army) The VC demo is a very fun to play, lots of intensity in Team vs Team. I say we take all of our WOF players, and join a server and fight against other people, just to see how it pans out. America's Army might be another good game to try, and it's free! AA could also help gives us some ideas for our MOD we are going to be working on. I also have UT2003 and would not mind playing that with WOF as well. The games are there for us to play, we just need to get together and JUST DO IT.

I would also like to fly some Gunship MP too. I have never flown Gunship in MP, only SP. So let's give that a whirl too.

Yah - but there are two issues (three actually):

1) I personally do not like leaving anyone out (or being left out of fun myself - although I am sure many of you could not imagine me having fun... ), which brings us to the next issue.

2) Some folks don't have all the games because they can not afford them and won't pirate, etc. Whatever the reason, some folks don't have all the games.

3) Time. It is not just that someone plays one game 5 nights a week and they could give up that time to play another as well... It is time to install, time to download patches, mods, etc., time to learn the new game, time to program controllers, etc.

Based upon the above considerations I would say we should all agree on AA or VCdemo, if we want to pursue this as a larger group thing. Are there other games that we might consider for this? Shall we put up a poll and designate a night?

Once we have decided on a game, I suggest that we then play internally for at least a couple of nights before we decide to head out and try to conquer others... But we can then decide what to do before each session, or even do both, internally for warm up and then play vs others.

Thoughts?

Oh yeah - I came onto channel 1 and saw SB and Viper, tried talking but got no response so I just went back to 5 where I said I would be waiting (at 7PM I was on the phone as I indicated...in my post). I later found (as soon as Gator and Madrus showed up) my RW was not working properly and had to reboot!! And all that time I thought you guys just did not like me! (well, that may still be the case...)

Viper,
you buy it for me and I will play it... as stated SEVERAL times, I do not have it and it is not likely I will for the near future given current circumstances.

Why don't we just pick a standard AA night? Thursday? Saturday? It could certainly replace one of the 5 GR nights without too much impact ;)

Those that want to cross over to various "dark" sides can play with those sides when they play their various "dark" sims (as some of us have done).

I bet AA is already installed fairly widely in this group. The biggest bonus is that it is already paid for by our tax dollars.

Well I came on last night and only found Kamikazi there - I assumed he was only up for VC or OFP which I didn't have, so I just dropped back off. I needed as much b/w as poss for my download of VC. And tonight, not until late - ANOTHER Xmas party to attend, it's all about showing face these things, don't let anyone tell you we enjoy ALL of these parties!
