I guess steel and I wrapped up at about 11 or 1130 eastern time ... It's possible RW dropped us back to an alternate IP and we weren't actually on ch5 at that time. But at least at one time, Madrus, Steel and I were all on the same RW channel.

We had an interesting time in VC - it does need more people - and it's not quite as nice as AA, but I suppose that's to be expected for a demo release. I'm sure they are just trying to validate the net code.

Its a brilliant idea, I think. The netcode DOES have some minor kinks to be worked out- I've been dropped a number of times, but usually don't have problems connecting. Also, hopefully they fix some of the lag/i-shot-him-why-isn't-he-dead problems. I've placed two full clips of my M16 into a VC before, point blank, dead on every shot, and he just looked at me and shot me once to kill me. Grrr.....

An unfortunate problem with 5.56 - it was designed to wound and clog up medical logistics, not to kill like the 7.62 NATO rnd ala FN SLR used by the British Army which in relative terms is an elephant gun capable of putting holes in truck engine blocks up to 300 yds. Considered to be capable of shattering the skeletal frame on a "bone strike" at 100 yds or below which would mean instant death. The standard feature of a 7.62mm round is to penetrate leaving a small pencil size wound as it enters the body. Should there be no obstruction before reaching the opposite side of the limb/body it would simply tear a huge hole throught the skin leaving a gaping wound.
A real winner in my books, as I would rather the enemy be dead than going back to a medical facility for treatment vowing to get me next time no matter the cost!

Hmmm....I like 8mm Mauser JS or 7.62x54. :D

Kodiak,
ever fired a Turkish Hakim? how about a Russian SVT40? I have a Hakim, but not fired it yet... looking to get a SVT40, but need to sell a couple of current guns first.

No, mostly really only NATO weapons for UK, USA, Germany, France, Austria, Holland. But I have had my hands on a plethora of items from around the Balkans, many of which were Soviet in design and many of which dated back to the 1st World War. Dated would be a phrase that comes to mind, antique is another!

i am not buying it under current circumstances

i will once i am employed again and have finances straightened out... like i said, there could be many reasons folks are not buying it/playing it. heck, some may not like it...although i think they are not giving it a fair shake if they say that... :) there are things i don't like about it, but i avoid them in the game, and then they don't bother me.
