HUD Patches

Post by ELH~Lancer »

If you do not have them you can get them from,

http://www.mektek.net/download.php?op=v ... erby=dateD

You run the install (spookily) then go into programs. Find the little buggers and run them! When you next play MW you will find a grid overlaid on maps  No more "I got lost excuses".

Lancer,

Will the patch function OK with the new Packs? If I recall, the HUD patch caused a lot of install problems (inc. me). Perhaps they will install over the new versions OK but not vice versa?

you must unpatch them prior to installing the mech packs
really.....if you dont you have to completely uninstall all the MW4 stuff by using the uninstall option off the cd. This may be a cause of somr of the problems peep are encountering

I installed over the patches so I did have to reinstall everything. So I assume it should be OK to install the HUD patch now that I am updated?

yea if you have everything installed now, ie bk, is and clan paks, then yea you should be able to re run the hud patch and it should work just fine. :D

Sorry about the delay in replying. Yep Stache is right. The HUDs must be installed after everything else. They then work okay.

I hate to keep flogging this dead horse BUT.... I picked up the Clan Pack today. I tried to unpactch the HUDpatch but it said a texture had changed and it could not unpatch. So, am I facing another complete uninstall and installation? Anyone have this trouble?

i wouldnt do that.. just uninstall the the hud patch's .. uninstall BK then mw4. did u try unpatching Bk first then mw4 before installing the new is pak. if that doesnt work i would unistall the hud patches.. BK then mw4. If i remember correctly someone said that MW4 had to be patched first then BK.

I tried again and it let me unpatch BK but it won't unpatch MW4- says some texture file has changed so it can't do it. I'm afraid that when I tried yesterday, maybe I tried to unpatch in the wrong order and screwed it up somehow. They say the third install is a charm, I guess.

It overlays a grid on your HUD map.
Gives you reference points in game, so you can communicate your location as well as the enemy's, or any other location sensitive info.

Hank,
To install the patches, just run the .exe files. This installs the patch installer @ C:\Program Files\MWHudPatch (or MW4BKHudPatch). Either double click the patch.exe files from there, or your start menu.
Done.* :P

I guess I coulda told you during the drop, but I wanted to install my own 1st.

Happy HUDding!
